SMM got great scores yet I still said how flawed MC is.

So not a reality for me, but maybe for others.

You can hardly accuse me of liking this game though, I've never even touched an AC game lol.

Not aimed at you, just a general statement regarding why the argument at all is flawed.

Imo, metacritic is useless.

I didn't know AC: HHD was a console. It's a super cheap budget title. I don't see many AAA exclusives that will be more profitable than this quickly thrown together game.

Still a critical bomba, as per the threads topic (metacritic score)

Doesn't this kind of prove how useless metacritic is? Skylanders: Superchargers is sitting at 91% on the Wii U, lol. No wonder people think 85% is a bad metascore, let alone 68% (still too high for AC: HHD).

AC: HHD will easily sell more than every Team Ico game combined, despite their games being critical successes. You can add the future sales of TLG in that as well.

I've stopped taking metacritic serious a long time ago.

Nobody expected this to score high (hence the thread was only made a day later), so it hardly bombed. It scored what people thought it would.

I have litteraly seen zero people say that. The closest I've ever seen was you saying 80 wasn't good, which is an insane thing to say.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

Disney Infinity 3.0 is a bad game, look at its metacritic score. I've seen people cry havoc vfor 8/10 reviews for AAA games like Destiny or MGS V.

If you factor in the media bias against Nintendo (add 10 points). The game is actually a 78 on MC, not bad when you realize that 79 is considered a hit.

There's both media bias for and against Nintendo.

That's the only reason I can think of why NSMB franchise has scored higher than the two Retro DKC games.

Why is it a bad game? I've never played it, but most impressions I get from people say that it's fun. Not great, but fun.

You confuse your opinion of a game with it's objective quality a lot...

It's bland, charmless, ugly looking and locks most content away behind expensive toys. Look at the userscores (on the Wii U eshop for example). It's mostly just little kids that like it, they like anything, even if it's crap.

Oh, I know the business practice behind it is garbage. Which is what most of the negative scores stem from. But I've heard the game is pretty good. Once again, just because you don't like a game doesn't make it bad.

You sure you're not confused with Skylanders here? I've only heard bad things from Disney Infinity from non-kids who played it. What negative scores? It has 83% on average!

Skylanders: Superchargers looks decent (too bad Bowser is only in the Wii starterpack, there goes my purchase), but Disney Infinity? Nope. It has the same metascore as DKC: TF! Higher than Splatoon!

Look at the userscores, most people don't like it! And only people who purchased the game can vote on the Wii U eshop.

I like this game although I would have preferred a REAL game for Wii U.

As for Metacritic:
So far this year iOS has 18 games with +90 scores and 88 games with +80 scores.
Would this game score higher if it was a iOS game?
