Capcom will release Mega Man Legends as a PSone Classic on the North American PlayStation Store next Tuesday, September 29, the publisher announced. It will cost $9.99.

Mega Man Legends will be playable on PlayStation 3 and PS Vita, but due to “a variety of constraints” will not be playable on PSP.

oh yeah!!! capcom keep those classic coming!

10 bucks? Why? I'll keep my disc. All the other mega man games I bought as soon as they came out because they weren't 10 dollars. Great for everyone else who doesn't have the game, though.

I want to support this, but I have no platforms to purchase it on. Why is hasn't PS1/2, and on that matter, PS3 games been made available for purchase on PS4?

Probably to cover the expenses of having renew contracts for the voicework. They all expired.

PS2 is coming. That is all but confirmed. Between patents and screenshots from multiple sources from the latest FW beta, it would be amazing if it wasn't. If we get PS2, PS1 is probably coming too. Considering a huge chunk of the worthwhile PS1 library exists on PSN already, I imagine it wouldn't be too difficult. PS3 will always be restricted to PS Now though. That is just the way it is. The PS4 is not strong enough to compensate for the unique nature of the PS3, and PS Now servers would not be able to handle the stress of both PS Now players and casual PS3 game owners if Sony suddenly decided to use PS Now for standard BC.

People really just need to accept that PS3 BC is never going to be a thing on the PS4.

Why cant you purchase the PS3 games that are currently on PSN now?

Is that a legitimate question, or are you just trolling? Because there is no way you can possibly think that PS3 games on PSN are magically different from what you get on a disc.

Edit: And if you're asking why we can't purchase the PS3 games on the PS Now service, once again, server load. Server farms are expensive, and PS Now is not just for the PS4, or even just for game consoles. It is not meant to be a BC solution for the PS4, but rather a service PS4 owners can take advantage of.

This seems overdue, but it's about time.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Uh no? Thats a legitimate question. Im NOT asking about BC with PS3. Im asking what is preventing SONY from allowing PS3 games that are currently on PS3 NOW and future titles to be purchased for permanent ownership?
