Forums - Gaming - What's your opinion about Telltale Games?

I like them. But I only buy the series that I like. BTTF, TWD, JP. I need to buy GOT. Once I actually start watching the show. Also, point and click are really meant to have little game play. There like the board game Risk. You aren't really using it as a full board game. You're using your head. I only buy them once a physcial season copy comes out. I don't bother with episodes.

They can tell a good story... but can't program a game for shit.

Why not check me out on youtube and help me on the way to 2k subs over at www.youtube.com/stormcloudlive

What I've played I enjoyed, but after all their success the games shouldn't feel like the code is being held together with duct tape and a prayer.

The big thing I want from them is a new engine that looks nice and does not glitch so much.

As a bonus I would like more story consequences as too often just the illusion of choice.

Overrated in my opinion. And I really dislike the episodic approach too.

They're pretty good, they're becoming less and less adventure games with every new title, along with the illusion of choice become ever more transparent, not to mention that their engine is in desperate need of an overhaul, but the stuff of theirs that I have played I have enjoyed. Would really like a poker night at the inventory 3 at some point.

I really enjoy there games. The Wolf Among Us is probably my favorite game of theirs, followed closely by season 1 of TWD.

They're bad, but good games.

Bet with Teeqoz for 2 weeks of avatar and sig control that Super Mario Odyssey would ship more than 7m on its first 2 months. The game shipped 9.07m, so I won

I think they're a good company but I find their games to be hit or miss for me. I enjoyed The Walking Dead because I was invested in their characters (much more for the first than the second, but still had a good time playing it). Although my favorite game probably was The Wolf Among Us because the setting and story was just so interesting and captivating.

Other games I bought from them were Sam & Max and Jurassic Park during a flash sale. I didn't really like them, I kept getting lost in Sam & Max and thought the comedy and story were pretty weak. The expanded story of Jurassic Park seemed like it could be interesting, but it was mostly bland. I haven't finished either and gave up I think in episode 2 for both.
My only big gripe with the company is that the games always seem to have performance and save issues. Get it together guys!

I like them, but I feel other companies have done much better games in the same genre, some even before the sucess of The Walking Dead. Games like Heavy Rain, Until Dawn and Life is Strange are superior to Telltale games imo.

Theyre fun but formulaic wich devalues them a bit imo, and Telltale needs to update theyre engine, its ancient.
