Yup. And wat about next week? will the price cut effect make ps3 trail xbox360 in others? I think xb360 sales will slowly rise over the next weeks and lvl at 15/20pct higher than this week's sales

I'm assuming all of you have looked at the updated numbers showing the PS3 will outsell the 360 yet again this week, and will probably come around 150k for the week.

I agree...if a large pricecut didn't do the trick, nothing will...especially with the ps3's big hitters coming--like GT5:P

 Is gt5:P still coming out next week in PAL?

I'm not saying that proportion is the same for hardware and price cuts but it's obvious that it also works in similar way that sales are highes in first day and than go down.
I'm not saying that X360 won't go up next week but price cut did take effect this week, that's why X360 is 20% up.

Everyone keeps saying there is hardly any awareness of the European price cut, and yet you compare the 360's first day price cut sales to Brawl's.......

Lets wait and see what happens after a full week of price cuts.  The fact is the 360 is holding its own in the EU.  It is selling 50k a week which pawns the Xbox and together with the Wii will ensure Sony doesn't come NEAR the EU dominance they had last generation.  The problem was MS's sales were slowly declining.  If they held at 50k, MS would be doing alright.

I'm with Starcraft on this one, let's not pull out the tickertape and have a Sony parade until we see the affects of a full week with the price cut in place.
