Nintendo delays another game?  How many times do I need to see this as a headline?  Nintendo has been inconsistent with release dates more than ever this generation.  It seems that nearly every games nintendo has is about to be realised, but never comes out.  American Wii U fans have seen significant delays for:

Pikmin 3

Xenoblade Chronicles X

Wolly World

Super Mario Maker

Zelda Wii U

And now Star Fox Zero

I know that my european friends had to deal with Treasure Tracker delays as well.

So I ask you today, VGChartz,  Why has Nintendo become so bad with maintianing/hammering down release dates?

Is it because "they are still getting used to designing HD games?"  Is it because they announced all these games too early through the nintendo direct system?  or something else?

Are you mad about the delays?  or just dissapointed?  or do you appreciate that nintendo is raising its standard of quality?

Also fell free to tell me more famous nintendo delays of wii u era so I can add them above.

It's not only Nintendo. Persona V? MGSV? The Witcher 3? Uncharted 4? It's a general problem. I think they should give the release date when they are absolutely sure that the game will release. It's tiresome this delay shit everytime...

Don't forget Wii Party U and WiiFit U as well. Not that many cares about them, but still...

Tropical Freeze was also delayed.

Or they could go the route of Splatoon and release an unfinished game?

People seem happy with it, so maybe...

Splatoon was finished but had in disc content locked. Over time Nintendo unlocked those content if you connected online for free. Not sure if they finished releasing all the in disc content yet.

I honestly believe they lie about the dates as a strategic decision. I know it's a bit harsh, but it's literally ALWAYS incredibly obvious when a game is going to get delayed. I respect their intelligence too much to believe that they honestly didn't know these games were going to be delayed. They just don't want us to grow impatient, so they tell us a game is coming soon, knowing they can just delay it later. I've been calling Star Fox since the second they announced it was coming this year. It was the same thing with Donkey Kong.

If they make Star Fox actually look decent then I will be happy for the delay.

I don't think they were ever that good at keeping release dates. I remember Super Smash Bros. Brawl and Metroid Prime 3 being delayed on Wii as well. They do seem to be getting worst at it though. Maybe they could use the Blizzard approach and not announce a release date until they are almost 100% done with the game but that has it's drawbacks as well.

^ this, they do it on purpose to give us an early releas date. Still it's better to get a delayed game that works properly than a game released when it should have been that is Broken for 4/5 months. Some games even get delayed and then they are still broken...
