final reality xv
No wonder it took so long to make. They were on vacation for most of it.

hah
tbh I have no idea what we're supposed to be watching in that video. I thought it was going to be something cool about a hunting mechanic similar to ff12, but it turned out to be just a bunch of japanese dudes in the andes (or whever they are)

Now that you mention Final Fantasy, does anybody know what happened with that 3DS remake version of Final Fantasy I, and if it will come to the west?

It did say "Location hunting" though, which is exactly what it showed.

I was expecting something about hunting unique monsters or something like that.

But was it really hunting if they already had the tickets?? It is likely, is it not, that they've already seen pictures of the place they went to? How can one hunt something that is already being served up on a platter with round-trip airfare and sherpa guides?
Could one really say that the dentist was "hunting Cecil the lion"?
tl;dr they could have just stayed at home and watched planet earth on netflix.

Uhh, why wouldn't they? They're trying to experience the locations themselves, to better understand the terrain, the feel, the size and such. You can't do that just by looking at pictures in the internet. That's what people do when they want to go and experience something and get inspired, specially artists when they're trying to create something more believable and more accurate.
I don't get what airfare and such has to do with location hunting.

Nah, silly, everyone knows that Japan didn't get netflix until recently.
