I love it. Why pay €60/$67.75 for a copy of batman: Arkham Knight on the PS4 when you can get it for half the price and barely used?
Would the industry be better off without used games? | |||

I like it. If for some reason I regret my purchase (game is over hyped, game has too many bugs, game is not what I expected, ...) then I can make some money back while giving a bargain to someone that may actually like the game.
When you buy a game, you don't own the code nor the rights to the game, you own the right to play it. So naturally I would like to be able to sell my right to play the game to someone else.

So again, not happening. |
it wouldnt be a loophole, it would be an easy way to implement EU laws. they operate in a grey area atm, its allowed to sale used software
Only bought used games for my retro consoles/computers on fleamarkets. Apart from these oldtimers, I never bought used games. In other words, if it would fade away, I doubt I would really feel any difference. And we have no gamestop or any other such shops which retake used games anyway, so doubt I would even see any difference here
it's a good way to get cheaper games, given that the game works properly, though I tend to get brand new games

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]
As I said a long time ago, every major consumer product that can be used over and over again has a second hand market. This includes cars, clothing, electronics, and furniture. So when a company tries to blame a sales slump on the second hand market, then you know something is wrong with their business model.

Still valid. Can anyone here gurantee the servers will stay operational to PS3-PS20 forever. Yes or no. And not be yanked. Which then you have to rebuy it in the fashions I listed on the future console. Because, if you can't download the game. The auth severs are gone on the old consoles. And your HDD dies. That's it. Unless you go the pirate route.

Shoud all physical media disapear for video games I could see a new market place forming for people to buy and sell acounts |
All video games disappeared from PC gaming and that didn't happen. Don't see it happening when consoles go all digital either.

Selling gift codes is a loop hole. The whole prospect of a gift is what you're giving it to someone for free. And with gifting on digital platforms, you're not even gifting a copy you own and have played, so it isn't even a used game, since the code was never used by the person buying the gift code originally.
