18,900 Pesos? Wow! That's only 1/3% higher than the Wii U!

Have you checked how much the Wii U costs in Japan? Nintendo may need to drop Wii U's price as well.

Looks like the recent JRPG announcements for X1 had an effect. Sony is shivering.

I doubt they want to.

I'm really questioning the timing of these price drops, considering that they're in countries with relatively weak currencies.

For instance, USDPHP is already at 47 and may even touch 50 next year. The Wii U price is at 15990 at Datablitz for the 32GB 3D World bundle, so the Wii U is now roughly $330 with tax...

I WON A BET AGAINST AZUREN! WOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

:3

A WW pricecut will be the last nail in the competition's coffins. Well played Sony, as usual.

...Let the Sony Domination continue with the PS4...

I actually got my PS4 at a lower price than what Sony is showing in their price drop. lol!

Yep.

Sony can drop the price in those markets and not be in any danger of experiencing stock shortages, which means not dropping the price in the USA and EU might still...er...happen. But it would be very odd for Sony to do a big announcement of price drops in markets outside of Japan and not roll out a worldwide price drop by mid-October.

There is a non-negligible chance there won't be a worldwide price drop, but I think odds are that there will be one.

The Malaysia price is $378 USD and the Singapore price is $385 USD. But I expect that includes sales taxes. And I expect USA to be the cheapest console market. So $350 should happen soon.

In germany you can also buy ps4 for 350€ now, but with an official pricedrop the price will be even lower

I'm genuinely surprised. Sony didn't need to do this yet. Everyone is looking at this as good news, but I don't think it is. You don't hit nitro when you're in first place unless 2nd place is on your tail.

Like obviously, it's good for the consumer, but clearly Sony's analysts are seeing something a lot of us, including me, aren't seeing that necessitates a price drop this soon. It'll be worrying if it comes to the west.
