its only 50$ price-cut in the west if we get one, in japan ps4 was always cheaper

So that would make the console around 350-300$ in the west and 250$ in Japan. My point still stands, the NX will have to compete with a machine that will have a huge hardware lead, a huge library and probably will be cheaper.

NX will have one big advantage; Nintendo software.

If they release the right games then they will do just fine. It needs consistent releases though.

They also need more third party, no matter how good nintendo software is, it does not attract everybody the same way, nor does it fill all the needs of all gamers...

to me Sony's studios output is by far the most interesting, even if they do not release games as often... This is what keeps me from being a 100% pc gamer.

Around the Network

It will be 300 imho :v (the home console at least) with slightly better hardware than PS4 and a library full of exclusive IPs to explain the higher price

It's very stupid to think nintendo cares about ps4's price when making their own hardware. They will make a console they want and price it acordingly. Also, it doesn't matter how much ps4 retails for when wii u successor releases, what matters is that sony could sell the ps4 for $299 since late 2014 and $199 by the end of 2016 if they wanted to (probably breaking even but still totally posible if they wanted). So, a $299 console releasing late 2016 or later will be much more powerfull than ps4.
