Wasn't it given away for free during the Summer in Japan with every PS4 purchased? Still nice though.

Lol, at least you'll get points for consistency. you never seem to quit. I still believe Sony did something to your cat or maybe even you.

But let's look at your brilliant observation. If it was given for free in Japan, the that amounts to what? 50k-100k copies? Damn, no wonder it hit 2M.

Yeah the sum total of which wuld barely add 100k to its total sales.

It was 3 months or something and PS4 has been selling around 15k weekly, so 180k sounds more like it. Like I said, still nice.

Ah okay, still very impressive. Its almost as much as Dark Souls II which released on 5 platforms.

Oh! Oh! I know! Pokemon, M&L and Paper Mario

I won't enter in the genre talk because you really missed what Bloodborne is...

But I couldn't find Pokemon, M&L and Paper Mario on Nintendo website for Wii U: http://www.nintendo.co.jp/ir/en/sales/software/wiiu.html

Or these games you listed sold less than 1 million or they were never released.

lol

So it sold to less than 1/12 PS4 owners ? probably it's because I'm use to the Nintendo numbers but it doesn't seem really good (at least for how it could have sold...)

Yup. That's the reason. Ps4 owners have more options thanks to great 3rd party support so no one game gets the attach ratio that ninty games get. It's always been like that since ps1. For a game on a ps console, it's sold great so far.

Attach rates always go down on bigger userbases, doesn't necesarilly have anything to do with more competition. PS4 owners didn't really have all that many options back when Bloodborne launched, it was the first amazing PS4 exclusive. Bloodborne sells a lot to hardcore gamers, who upgrade their consoles sooner than casual gamers. A bigger userbase probably wouldn't have a big effect on the sales of Bloodborne. Just look at the sales of Metroid Prime 1 & 2 compared to Metroid Prime 3.

And Vita games (similar userbase as Wii U) can only dream of the attach rates of Ninty games on Wii U. Ninty games sell like that because they're good, not because they don't have competition.

Comparing attach rates between such different userbases is useless though, so I'll agree there.

It's amazing how defensive some of you guys are.

I'm sorry for stating a fact and giving a compliment to a game. Such insult. Wow.

hope its life time sales are over 3 million possibly even 4, also those are some very deserved sales right there.

Infamous: Second Son and Driveclub were amazing PS4 exclusives that launched before Bloodborne (both now above 2 million as well). And yeah PS4 still had loads of games then, they may have been multiplatform but they were there and not on Wii U.

Oh btw Killzone: Shadow Fall, a launch PS4 exclusive sold 2.1 million by Fenruary 2014, so maybe that was amazing too ;)

You're right. I must have missed the part when you said for Wii U. Anyway... I hope I can help on another chance

We don't need to get defensive because we have hard data about Japan.

BB sold less than 300k in Japan and before the bundle be released the game had already sold over 200k in retail.

FACT.

They were good, but Bloodborne was better and thus I call it amazing.
