No it was not mornelithe.

Aww, that's a bummer, would love to see a dev come out and openly say something like that.  You have to admit though, it appears Japanese devs give Zero fucks about the sexualization (of women) nonsense.  Which is great.

Haha, it's hilarious that they're pretending that she's that way because of the context of the story. They should just admit it.

It looks like soft porn. Something aimed at people torn between Twilight and dudebro stuff.

Jim hits the nail on the head, as always. Sexualize all you want, the men, the women or the squids. Just don't insult us with your reasoning.

I think the "silly reason" is supposed to be silly and that Kojima is laughing at the people who have to have a reason. The people making a big deal out of it either way are being mocked. I can't imagine how Japanese developers must view western gaming media.

As for Jim Sterling, he's a tabloid reporter whose thing is being outraged, which fits right in with a lot of gamers who are always looking to be upset over something.

Well said!

Disagree, it's not your IP, you have the choice not to buy it (Jim did). Likewise with any Book, Music, Comic, Movie or other form of entertainment that doesn't suit your tastes. Not everyone has to like everything. And I strongly, strongly object to anyone telling another person how to build their dream/vision.

He isn't. He's just asking the creator to be honest rather than force a needless narative to give it reason. Whether or not he's on the mark is another question.

Critiquing doesn't necessitate a demand to change, either.

Pretty much this, Kojima is just trolling everyone, and some people are failing to realize that.

Don't ask the question if you don't want the devs to answer it.

Yeah, I felt the same way. I actually had this exact conversation with a co-worker yesterday. Though, I'm not as angry about it as Jim is. I'm not outraged. I just think it's silly.

He is not outraged or angry though, that's just a way to present your thoughts and get lots of clicks in the process.
