It depends on what Konami wants to do on the gaming front. If they're going to focus on mobile plus other medium-small titles only (PES, YuGiOh...), they might as well license the engine to other developers and make a quick buck.

Why not. It's great idea, just like Epic Games license the engine to other developers.

I hope they license it to others.

I doubt Konami will even bother with it at this point.
