Sorry I meant 2016. I just want to clarify that Vita does have some good games (I don't know personally but I'm sure it does). I was mainly talking about Sony's support when I used the word shit. The Vita could be at 20-30m if they actually released some of the titles they released on the PSP and gotten Rockstar to do a GTA for it.

I dont see why we can count Fatal Frame like AAA game? Its not small game in any means. Even if you think it not AAA, Fatal Frame like other Wii U games is still exclusive, Vita doesn't have exclusives. |
Once again, small is relative. Fatal Frame is small and niche when brought up against huge blockbusters coming up like fallout and cod. To claim that fatal frame is AAA just like those other games (especially when the game is not retail at all places) is to award unnecessary points to Nintendo. Especially when you claim games like Digimon on the vita are small and insignificant.
Exclusives don't matter when making a comparison against the wii u. This is because there are so many games exclusively NOT on the wii u that brings down the value of an "exclusive to wii u" list. Examples: vita has Assassins creed, fifa, cod, minecraft, and borderlands. Adding these to the list of highly rated exclusives already on the system (gravity rush, tearaway, god eater) and the ps4 streaming capabilities, and the vita has larger options for games than the wii u.

So you admit to turning a blind eye to this topic as a whole just because it's apparent the Wii U may not even sell more than the Vita? Sounds like it. Which is fine by me, saves me the time of trying to discuss something with someone who has no grasp on reality. |
I didn't admit to anything but Sony's lack of shipments for Vita is sad lol. Why else would a company be so silent, they have no problem seperating PS3 and PS4. I haven't taken any childish shots at Vita despite some of the Sony faithful in here doing just that (at WiiU). I dont have to resort to that when currently the WiiU is looking to overtake it, thats what fans do to ease the truth.

While it's true the lack of Vita shipments is sad, it doesn't confirm that they are below what people think.
Goodness, it's been a while since I've seen a topic about this excellent battle!
I remember back in the day all the praise Wii U used to get and all the flak Vita got. Things like WiiU selling under 7m in 2013 was met with ridicule. Then we had all sorts of "When will Wii U outsell Vita?" threads like this one and this one. Check through for some humorous replies. I sadly can't find my favourite thread (although I'm sure people will remember it) where the general consensus seemed to be that Wii U would sell 3 x more than Vita in 2013.
The threads even resurfaced last year in the race to 10m.
I have to give one thing to Nintendo fans - tenacity. It seems at every turn they're adamant the next game is going to be the one to turn around Wii U's fortunes and bring an end to this battle of the cripples. Sadly literally everything cited has let them down, and the gap just doesn't seem to be shrinking at all.
I'd weigh in with my own thoughts. but reading through all these old threads has made me realise that that's really not a good idea :p
My only real thoughts are that whichever wins, it's going to be an incredibly hollow victory. The least worst selling 8th gen console, gee.
And here's a final thought for you: in 2013, this guy predicted that Vita would outsell Wii U in LTD sales. At the very least, that has a chance of coming true. But you wouldn't have thought it given the ripping he got for saying that.
It is possible, but if PSV kept a good lead despite very little support from Sony, while at the same time Ninty was supporting Wii U decently enough, should Sony better its support to PSV, with a long awaited price drop, maybe a new model, appealing bundles with larger memory cards and/or games, finally more big first party titles, better marketing, it will become very difficult for Wii U to fill the gap. And if Ninty will kill it too early, there won't be a chance at all.

I wouldn't be so sure about that, considering that Sony already pretty much dropped support for the Vita in several countries |
Lol Vita is still gonna be sold for years to come, what reason does Sony have to stop selling it since its an accessory to the PS4 and they are not coming out with another handheld obviously. Wii U is gonna drop like a rock when Ninendo releases their next console next year or the year after. Hell you don't even have to wait til the next console comes out, as soon as it gets ANNOUNCED with backwards compatability Wii U sales are gonna be affected.

I agree, for more evidence of how desperate the Sony faithful are look no further than Kresnik post right below.
