Before Mario Kart and Smash, oh yeah it was. At least on this site

Maybe but that was more due to the demographics on this site than actual consumer interest.

This is what people do when they realize things aren't going the way they want, they start bringing up irrelevant things lol. He knows WiiU is on its way to passing Vita so instead he redirects to this. Now ofcourse this what people did when Ps3 finally caught 360.

Problem is that all those games can be played on other platforms too. Nintendo gamers buy Nintendo hardware because of Nintendo games, not because third-party support or Indies. Third-party support and Indies are only addon on Nintendo console not main thing like their are on Vita.

But this situation has been going on for years. Nintendo fans claim that the Vita has (almost) no exclusives and that the Wii U is getting one important exclusive after another. Nevertheless the 2-million-gap hasn't changed much since the end of 2012... so why should the gap suddenly shrink or even close if it's the same situation in 2016 than all these years before (Wii U with a few exclusives, Vita with a lot of niche games that can be played on other systems)?

Actually Wii U was on 900k difference with Vita but then on VGC Vita in one weak get update with 1.3m.

VGChartz numbers for 04th April 2015:
PSV 44,054 (-14%) 10,354,416
WiiU 34,690 (-11%) 9,447,436

VGChartz numbers for 11th April 2015:
PSV 45,468 (-20%) 11,645,012
WiiU 31,680 (-9%) 9,480,626

He knew this, he's just getting desperate. VGCs tracking is on his side so he's abusing it as much as possible. Sonys silence on Vitas situation is all we need.

Probably just. The Wii U still has 3 or 4 AAA games to help boost it. The Vita has bugger all and is just surviving on JRPGs with ridiculous titles and indie games.

zelda is the only AAA game. Pokken, SMT x FE (jrpg by the way), xenoblade (jrpg), project treasure and star fox aren't AAA when put next to games like COD, Fallout, MGS, etc.

Vita also has compatibility with ps4 (gives it a lead in europe), and those jrpgs are what give it the lead in japan

Actually, Pokken, SMTxFE, Fatal Frame, Xenoblade and Zelda U are all AAA games, we still dont know size and content of Star Fox but I think because Nintendo give $60 price tag for game that is also AAA game, only game that isn't AAA is Project Treasure (also Mario Tenis and Amiibo Festival), also there are very good chances that Pikmin 4 is Wii U game, so another AAA game.

Fact that games like COD, Fallout, MGS...are more expensive and have much stronger marketing , doesn't mean that this Nintendo games are not AAA games.

There is no strict definition for what a AAA game is, but if we are willing to count games like fatal frame (not even retail in some places), then the vita has just as much.

Actually you shouldn't use VGC's inability to track the Vita properly to push your very very weak agenda. Using official PSP/PSV shipping data as of March 31st, 2015 the absolute minimum the Vita could have shipped was still 10+ million. Heres what VGC had Vita at as of March 28th, 2015

PSV 51,184 (+8%)

10,310,362

Also keep in mind that the maximun Vita could have shipped at that time was 14.2 million. VGC had to change what their Vita LTD total was because it made no sense. So technically Vita could still be undertracked.

It should speak volumes that the Vita needs virtually no 1st party support but instead small 3rd party support to keep the Wii U behind with all of it's super ultra massive 10/10 AAA exclusives.

And where the heck is the problem with this? Nintendo gamer always bring this argument because they have no third-party support on their consoles. Third-party can boost sales as much as first party games can do! And I have as much fun playing third-party games as first-party games.

This shows that you know nothing about PS Vita...
The same thing can be said about Wii U. Wii U is only getting the same games which we saw already the last 2-4 generations (Smash Bros., Mario Kart, Donkey Kong....).

Even if the Sony western first party support stopped after 2 years, it has much better first party games than Wii U.
And with all games combined PS Vita destroys Wii U.

Now hold on ho!

Your username takes all credibility from your biased ass opinions, but saying that Vita has a much better first party lineup than Wii U??! Please.

Vita needs to recede, like Dr's hairline.

The "official PSP/Vita shipments" is all I needed to read lol. Your sad shot at the WiiUs exclusive says alot about you. I guess thats what you have to do when your company has something to hide.

Honestly man, the bottom line is Vita has a huge advantage on the Wii U. It's the Nintendo crowd that has to boost its morale, twist reality and keep moving goalposts in order not to admin that Wii U will be outsold by Vita. "More exclusives", "massive IPs", "Zelda U", "OMG Wii U is so awesom", "Vita haz no gaemz", "and the hundreds of games it gets are shit". Cool story, but Vita is still ahead and will remain there. There is nothing on the horizon that can change the fate of Wii U.

Wii U has been on its way to an early grave officially since E3 2015, while Vita is steadily on its "legacy platform" route, offering indies and awesome Japanese games without requiring any effort on Sony's side. Vita will last this way for years generating slow but steady income, while Wii U... Even Nintendo devs have been talking more about games for NX recently than new Wii U games. We could hear that "Metroid Prime could only come to the NX" and that "Super Mario Galaxy 3 could potentially come with the extra power of the NX". Add the Zelda delay and the writting is on the wall.

Wii U is a GCN 2 - I called it months before the release!

My Vita to-buy list: The Walking Dead, Persona 4 Golden, Need for Speed: Most Wanted, TearAway, Ys: Memories of Celceta, Muramasa: The Demon Blade, History: Legends of War, FIFA 13, Final Fantasy HD X, X-2, Worms Revolution Extreme, The Amazing Spiderman, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate - too many no-gaemz :/

My consoles: PS2 Slim, PS3 Slim 320 GB, PSV 32 GB, Wii, DSi.

I dont see why we can count Fatal Frame like AAA game? Its not small game in any means. Even if you think it not AAA, Fatal Frame like other Wii U games is still exclusive, Vita doesn't have exclusives.

Another desperate post, keep em coming. No one here said any of that mess. When you spout nonsense like this, your credibility is shot. It doesn't alter reality either. Every year the WiiU gets closer, slowly ofcourse.

So you admit to turning a blind eye to this topic as a whole just because it's apparent the Wii U may not even sell more than the Vita? Sounds like it. Which is fine by me, saves me the time of trying to discuss something with someone who has no grasp on reality.
