I can't completely disprove any of these things.  But that doesn't mean that it's not absolutely retarded to believe them, because we don't have a shred of evidence, and often have evidence to the contrary.  So, I ask you these two simple questions.

1.  Is there any evidence that Spider-man is attracted to men?  If so, provide it.
2.  Do you think there is reason to believe Spider-man is gay?

If you answered no to question 1, and yes to question 2, then you don't get how logic and evidence works, and you do indeed need your head examined.

There is no point arguing with you. Keep insulting people - you may wanna come up with some different that "have your head examined", unless that, and "retarded" are the only ways you know how to communicate with people-  instead of providing proper arguments. I'm done wasting my time with you. Have a great day and please don't quote me again (in case you do, I will simply ignore it).

Ignore it if you want, but I never insulted anyone.  When someone suggests a retarded idea, I call it retarded.  I never called you retarded.  I said you should get your head examined if you thought it was logical to believe things without evidence.  To show you didn't need a head examination you needed only say "wait that's not supported by the text" or provide evidence, which you repeatedly refused to do.

I used the phrase retarded twice, and get your head examined twice (just as much as you actually!), among providing proper arguments (you know, in the 90% of my post you gutted out to make that bullshit claim seem believable).  I would hardly say those are the only way I communicated.  But since you could not address those arguments, you're going to complain I was too mean and hurt your widdle feelings.  I'd duck and run too if I was so very wrong.  But hey, if you think it's a waste of time, then I probably agree.  Time could better be spent studying logic and literature.

What Stan Lee said is idiotic, homophobic AND hypocritical as hell.

Superhero characters get new versions all the time, so we reached a point where the old characters already showed up with completely different personalities and physical traits across all versions. Sexual preference is just one of many traits that makes a human being, it can and SHOULD be open for change whenever a new version of a character is made.

Besides, what makes a superhero character is mostly his/her powers and how he/she uses those. If it's not a romantic story, people don't care much about it, it's just a nice extra, so changing this aspect doesn't change the character. It's even recomended to make at least one version with different sexual preferences, pleasing more people without pissing enyone. Win win.

Basically, every fictional character reflects the society for it's time, and right now it's inexcusable to say it's wrong to have a gay/bi version of a hero. Our society advanced enough to leave such ignorance in the past.

Oh dear...yeah, we should definitely have one version of Spiderman that is straight, one that is bi, one that is gay, etc.

But let's not stop at that - we should have one version where he is black, than one version where he's Chinese, than one version where he is Eskimo.

Than expand onto version where he is polydactylous and to spice it up one where he has siamese twin.

What Stan Lee says, as someone who created Spiderman, is neither idiotic, homophobic or hypocritical. If you want bi/gay/pansexual character, go find one that is already created in certain way (like Captain Holt from Brooklyn Nine-Nine, one of the best characters in last few years in TV shows) , or create your own, do not ask for well established charactes to conform to your believes or you're coming out as close-minded.

okay, let's never make a new version of a superhero, just forget it and make a new hero everytime.

you're very close minded and comparing a sexuality change with siamese twins is hugely homophobic. I still wonder why people bithc so much over an invisible and natural difference.

Completely agree with Stan Lee on this. Characters should stay who they are, try and change that and you are just ruining a character. If wou want characters with different sexualities or ethnicities or whatever just create new ones, don't ruin the ones that already exist.

You don't understand. Political correctness doesn't work that way. It's all about forcing your agenda on everyone.

Yep. He's right.

Oh boy, why am I bothering with an alt in the first place?

Anyway, since you're resorting to usual name calling, I will call your support for changing well established straight character into something more to your liking as heterophobic - because you obviously have a problem with Spiderman being straight...you know, the way Lee created him.

Because Spiderman has never been gay before and while I except gay people,I have no interest in gay characters, especially the lead character.

I don't understand why that is even important, it's a freaking superhero. The only way it would matter is if they made Spiderman porn.

Indeed, I'm almost as baffled about it as I am the arguments about sexuality of video game characters that never have sex or any real romantic interest in their game world.
