What Stan Lee said is idiotic, homophobic AND hypocritical as hell.

Superhero characters get new versions all the time, so we reached a point where the old characters already showed up with completely different personalities and physical traits across all versions. Sexual preference is just one of many traits that makes a human being, it can and SHOULD be open for change whenever a new version of a character is made.

Besides, what makes a superhero character is mostly his/her powers and how he/she uses those. If it's not a romantic story, people don't care much about it, it's just a nice extra, so changing this aspect doesn't change the character. It's even recomended to make at least one version with different sexual preferences, pleasing more people without pissing enyone. Win win.

Basically, every fictional character reflects the society for it's time, and right now it's inexcusable to say it's wrong to have a gay/bi version of a hero. Our society advanced enough to leave such ignorance in the past.

Wow. You really don't read comics, do you...

Bet with Xander XT:

I can beat more games on his 3DS than he can on my PSVita in a month. Loser has to buy the winner a game on his/her handheld Guess who won? http://gamrconnect.vgchartz.com/thread.php?id=193531
