Each generation we know almost exactly how the next Xbox and PlayStation controller will look and feel. Sure they may have some minor changes over their predecessors, but the controllers still tend to be very similar.
Nintendo doesn't follow this rule. Since the sixth generation they have gone from a conventional controller to a stick with buttons to a tablet/controller hybrid.
If next generation and the generations after that they decide to compete directly with Sony and Microsoft and hence produce a conventional console. Will this be a problem for Nintendo?
