well, 07 is the year of xbox (game wise), no question.

Sadly other than Ace Combat and LO, nothing really sold in Japan. lol

I'm going to go with brand name bias on this one Bob! I never should have bought my Mitsibishi Lancer. Sure it was cheaper and better than the American rival...but that doesn't matter. :)

Seriously though, I wish someone form Japan could post here and let us know for real why the 360 isn't selling there.

 Frankly, those games are just NOT for Japanese consumers. Trust me, I'm as japanese as they come, I will openly admit that xbox's game rocks in 07, but they aren't for me, so I won't buy them. (Bioshock, even Mass Effect). Japanese market is a lot less diverse than the one we have in NA.

 I mean, if you look at games that they do like AceC or LO, they do sell well relative to their installbase.

 And frankly, if xbox has pretty good lineup of RPG in their launch, it would've sold better.

That list is crap.

Phantom Hourglass is a mediocre game that did nothing better than it's prequel. The only "innovations" are a control scheme that seems mostly stolen from AC:WW and a lousy online feature. The music is awful, the story is awful, the gameplay is frustrating and tedious...

Super Mario Galaxy is an amazing game, changing the gameplay of Mario, extremely innovative, the best soundtrack ever, and brilliant level design.

Terrible.

Youa re probably right...but I don't see ps3 ripping up the charts with RPG's. It is outselling the 360 almost 5 to 1...final fantasy 13 is a powerful thing i guess.

I was more upset over Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida and Gyakuten Saiban 4 being on the list, as i have no clue what those games are :)

PS3's brand name itself would sell 360 3 to 4-1. And frankly, Blu-Ray was a huge thing in Japan and honestly, I have to say that blu-ray is the one thing that made me buy a PS3 right now than wait for FFXIII release.

having a high review score doesn't necessarily mean high sales in any country. It's more about marketing and if the game fits the market.

I see... maybe microsoft doesn't understand this.

I mean, how hard is it to make a game where the protagonist has big spikey hair and carries a sword the size of a car. He should also shoot fireballs and drive mech robots around... :)
