Forums - Nintendo - How would you rate the Nintendo published software output this year?

Fire Emblem Fates -> 8.5/10
Xenoblade X -> 7/10

Is it true that Fire Emblem Nohr has more unique missions/objectives than Hoshido/Awakening? What I mean is in the latter games you ,just had to kill everyone on the map to win a mission and that was kind of boring after a while imo. It would be fun if you had to defend a specific location or escort someone safely, kill a specific target, etc.

And is the story in Nohr better than in Awakening? Becaus that story was just bad.

The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask 3D - 8.5
Boss battles are bad, fishing ponds are useless and swimming mechanic is now a mess. Other than that, the game is the same as the one on the N64, thus is very good.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

this year they get a pretty solid score. i would say at least 9 / 10. as for next year, theyre in trouble

Sorry, just played White but not Black. And I will probably won't purchase Black since Invisible Kingdom (the 3rd story DLC only) is the canon story that has all the characters from both sides : it makes the base two games completely obsolete.

But yes, as you say, the objectives in White were almost always "eradicate the enemy".

Stories in both White and IK are frankly poor, not even close to Awakening narration.

It's amazing how many more games Ninty released/will release for 3DS as compared to WiiU this year. They really did mess up with WiiU's line-up this gen, sad.

Yep, just started playing Luigi's Mansion 2 and thought it would have been a lot better on Wii U.  I'm enjoying it on 3DS but I still wonder why not Wii U.  Also, they deserve a spanking for not releasing a proper Animal Crossing on the Wii U.

Whilst 2015 hasn't been the best year for Nintendo, they finally got out the MM remake I've been after, and Splatoon is their best new IP in well over a decade. I think the biggest downers for me are the lack of Zelda Wii U and Animal Crossing Wii U.

Been about what they normally release every year, but I really like Splatoon so I'll say it's pretty good :p

[3DS] Winter Playtimes [Wii U]

I only bought one game this year .

And it's a remake too, Majora's Mask, so I don't know if I should be the one to rate this year's software output. That said if I look at the list it's average. The lack of a big AAA title (in terms of fame, at least) on both systems really hurts it. Personally I'm hyped for Super Mario Maker and will definitely get that if nothing else, should help with my perception of this year's software in a big way!

For WiiU a good thing is needed, but I'm not too shaken about the situation for the 3DS, because it has already proven itself as one of the best systems out there.

I have been agreeing with you a lot this year. And again now. I'd say beside the graphical update, the remake did more harm than good to the game. It's still amazing, but I do prefer the N64 version. I'd score the game a 9, and I'm a harsh judge, but the remake bumps it down to 8.5 for me. Pretty much the opposite of what Wind Waker HD did for me on that game.

I'll excuse the boss battles because beside Goht they already weren't the high point of the game though. I agree I fail to see the inclusion of the fishing ponds or the point of the altered swimming mechanics other than making the beaver race more challenging. Besides those, I actually think the Bomber's Notebook is worse because it doesn't show all events on the timetable anymore, often until after you've actually completed one. And I hate how they ruined the significance of the Song of Time, and thereby much of the point of the game. Anyway, I haven't completed it yet though, the Song of Double Time is obviously improved and I do like how some stuff like the stray fairies being in different places among other things keep things fresh for a player of the original.

Right now its 5/10 since Yoshi's Woolly world was good and Splatoon is alright, but looking at the line up for the rest of the year, it will probably drop to 3/10.

How on earth can it lose ground by including games like Super Mario Maker, Fatal Frame, Star Fox, and Xenoblade Chronicles X?

I will probably buy none of those.
