If I want a realistic sports game, I just go outside and play it. My last "realistic" sports game was Fifa 98 RTWC (yeah, I know I'm old)

If I want to play a sports game on my console or PC, I play Mario Smash Football (Mario Strikers Charged in the US) or Speedball 2: Brutal Deluxe (the original, not the remake!). Or a bit of Wii Sports sometimes (100 pin challenge)

I don't play sports for a reason...

Only realism I need on sports games, are the basic rules of each sport... And whatever it is necessary to play it, such as a soccer ball.

Often I think a sports game would be more fun if it didnt have anything to do with realism.

Some, but not all. FIFA could get more realistic for sure; especially the AI's behavior is ridiculous at times and they display movements and actions that real players would never even consider.
