It's interesting that you rememeber it like that. Because I remember it being a  furiously mashing the right and left triggers, going up and down like crazy before the enemy's animation is finished, almost breaking the Y/Triangle button so that my character does something at that moment, not when the ATB bar loades, and being annoyed at that fragment of ATB bar not fitting into my whole ATB affair.

Don't get me wrong i'm in the crowd that actually likes XIII, but for most of the game auto-battle works fine. There are certain fights that require a lot more input to be sure, but it was very basic for far to long.

Really liked the game, thought the story was one of the most original ideas in a video game story in along while and found it interesting, I liked pretty much all the characters and really admired lightnings determination to get the job done and be u distracted from anything else she was a really strong character mentally. Also the battle system was ok after you get 3 ppl in the party. I also really enjoyed XIII-2 even more so than XIII.

To say you describe yourself to be a FF fan I find it weird that you're thinking of cancelling a preorder for XV. Have you seen any trailers, gameplay vids? The game looks stunning and imo, nothing like XIII. You shouldn't be so easily put off something if you class yourself as a big fan of it,

So boring

I found 13 fun actually. I haven't finished a lot of FF, but the one I really wanted to finish but couldn't was Final Fantasy 2. There's a part where you're supposed to put a dragon egg in a cave but I could never get through the cave

Well, you got ten more hours of...enjoyment (I guess?)...out of 13 than I did. 15 plays preeetty differently, so I wouldn't judge it based off of Square Enix's 7th gen tumble into the pit of obsolescence.

You lost me at FFXIII's "battle system".

I think FFXIII is a glorified corridor and a ridiculously bad game, I haven´t been able to finish it yet.

It is perfectly normal FFXIII is complete trash. The people who unexplicably seem to enjoy it are over represented on these forums. The XIII series lowered sales of the series from millions to less than a million, even though the 3rd game didnt deserve it. But it just goes to show the damage the first two caused.

I also have had arguments with people here who somehow say this combat is fun. I dont know how changing between 3 paradigms and watching the game play itself is considered fun. I have been unconvinced and i played longer than you did.

I had definitely seen the trailers and some gameplay many times, but I rmb when I 1st saw xiii trailer I was hype as f*ck as well.. that's y I still force myself to play about 20 hours of xiii before I give up - I didnt want to admit this game is not for me .. but too bad, it just isn't

With this n ffx2, I might wait until reviews and opinions before I made my decision to purchase 15.. but might still ended up buying it no matter what ppl say (I hate myself as a fanboy sometimes ==)
