Can't the same be said about Smash, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter etc? Yet they always sell plenty of copies.

Those games have more than 10 characters though. And more stages and modes (including story mode).

More content will be added before launch. The arcade version isn't the final version.

I can definitely see it being the best selling Wii U game in Japan and maybe some areas of Europe... But I think Zelda might edge out a win....

Hmmm, if one consider that it will be 1 month of Zelda vs many months of Pokken. Yea, i can see that.

Other than that, i dunno. Pokemon is a bigger IP outside of the core market, but Tekken not so much.
