Forums - Politics - Hillary Clinton Vs Donald Trump: who'd you vote for?

Who would you rather vote for the US presidency?

Hillary Clinton 418 42.01%

Donald Trump 288 28.94%

None 163 16.38%

None of them will win the... 41 4.12%

Clinton if we don't find... 12 1.21%

Subway sandwiches now taste illicit 37 3.72%

Donald Trump can't survi... 36 3.62%

Total:995

If both of them won their primaries I'd vote third party or write in. I don't care if that's throwing my vote away, I couldn't bring myself to vote for either of them.

Very confused about this combination.  These two are incredibly far apart in their views on most every topic.

That iswhat happens  when you vote for a person (character) & not a political program & ideas!

I guess... Ben Carson seems like a nice guy until you realize that his economic plan would literally cripple the country, he doesn't understand the basics of the political system, and he's kind of batshit crazy.  But, if there is a siamese twin epidemic, I guess he's your guy.

Look the only way I would ever vote for Hillary right now is if she went against Donald Trump, I am not a fan at all. Having said that: I CANNOT BELIEVE 1/3 people would choose Trump!!!!

Prediction for console Lifetime sales:

The majority of people are completely stupid in terms of policies, and don't know or care about views or plans.

I'd be curious to see if there is a correlation between console maker preference and political affiliation.

If i was American, i would vote Hilary.

If those were the only choices I would pick not-Trump or Clinton.

The fact that there are 113+ people willing to vote for someone who is very close to going to prison is astounding to me. We are so cynical that we believe everyone is a liar/cheat in Washington so as long as they are on your side you'll vote for them even if there is no shortage of scandal or corruption surrounding them. Quite pathetic IMHO.

Trump.

He's qualified with working high-end, high stakes business with clients from every nationality in just about every sector of the world. He's graduated from one of the best universities in the nation. He's increased his families wealth nearly 20-fold during his lifetime. He's been very straight-forward in the way that he handles every topic and he discusses all of them. His ego is huge, but so is his desire to succeed at all costs. Elon Musk also has a huge ego, and desire to succeed at all costs.   Both the Left and the Right (Dislike him), which to me says that he's the perfect guy to mix up the status quo that we live in regardless of candidate selected.   He's too wealthy to be easily manipulated and he very clearly understands the most important issue for America is to make their economy as good as possible and other things fall into place.

Clinton? She isn't qualified. She's clearly been caught in numerous lies and scandals herself, while in public office. Ask yourself this, if she married another man (Say one that wasn't President of the United States) what credentials and how far into politics would/should she have made it? Not even close. She's a notorious liar, all money she's earned has been through donations or political favors and not through working a real career.   If her name were Jenna Smith and completely unrelated to Bill Clinton, why would you vote for her?

The issue is that this isn't an election for CEO of America.  He can be very smart in terms of business and not be qualified to be a president.  Granted there is some overlapping skills, but they are not the same thing.

Are there any political views of his you support?  Any particular plans he laid out that you think are good ideas?

I disagree.  President of the United States is 100% CEO.  Except, you really can't be fired and your business is essentially too big to fail .  Every skill-set that a high-level executive has, is essential to being President of the United States.  That doesn't ensure that Trump would make a good president, but his skill-set far more closely mirrors the President of the United States than Hillary Clinton.

Questioning Trump's qualifications for the position compared to Hillary Clinton?  It's not even close.  Trump has been making global deals since he was 30 years old.  Hillary Clinton

I agree with his high level  economic concepts (Bringing back the manufacturing industry..Repealing NAFTA,  focusing on the economy, ensuring that America is coming out in the advantageous position in global trade deals.   (My opinion is that no candidates have any idea of the 'inner workings' enough to pitch a truly informed policy.).  I agree with securing the countries borders and mostly agree with his immigration policy. I agree that common core needs replaced.   I don't agree with many of his social issues (However -- I think in order to secure the GOP nomination,  he will have to act more conservative in the primaries but ultimately will be far more left socially than any of the other Republican candidates).

I'd flip the same question to you?  What policies of Hillary Clinton do you support?   If her last name was Smith,  would she be as qualified?   What makes her trustworthy?  (After constant lie, after lie).   She has waffled on many, many issues  and really doesn't give a firm answer on anything.    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrJ3fG5iATc

If I were american, I'd rather prefer a Hillaryous future then getting Trumped all the time

And if I could, I'd vote for Jill Stein
