Forums - Gaming - Oh look! Super Evil Konami letting fans decide what games they want in the future: Suikoden,Contra, Castlevania,Vandal Hearts along with others to.

I voted for every not known/bad IP so that they leave back the good ones without ruining them and maybe sell them to someone that didn't screw up their company.

Seriously this doesn't mean anything, it's an obvious move made so that people stop thinking how Konami treats his Employees and everithig we discovered in the last few months

No its not.

KONAMI has 4 different brances of entertainment: Video games, Gambling, Physical health and merchandise (Toys, anime, clothes, cards)

Its is NOT reasonable to assume that survey from video game sector asking gamers what THEY want would have anything to do with gambling sector. Not reasonably.

It is NOT reasonably to believe that whatever they do with results in the future will automatically be mobile when the gawd damn survey gives you an choice and the survey is worldwide!!! Mobile in Japan is a Japan thing. Why would they be asking a worldwide audience about something Japanese? Gamers play on consoles out here. Then the games listed are entire obscure and entirely core. Not one, maybe except Bomberman, is mainstream.

The survey is practically worthless to them since it'll hardly give a meaningful sample size ...

They issued it... So it cant be worthless. Theres a point.

They did issue it however that does not mean they will take it as a meaningful result to steer the company to our ideal direction ...

It's consumers that determine the future of a business and if Konami doesn't believe in the strength of their own many IPs like many other game publishers that do then maybe they should leave the gaming industry ...

What's the point if they don't take any risks to push out a product ? Silent Hills was their next biggest IP to Metal gear yet they axed it ...

There are very good reasons to doubt Konami's intentions ...

Here is the funny part - When  Kojima was fired and his team disbanded, everybody said, "I dont want SH is Kojima wont behind it, it wont be the same without his vision ", so KONAMI did just that. Kojima's name attached to the project was what all hype was about and without him and his ideas, was it worth Konami  continuing something that was not going live up to expectations set by somebody not on the project. Its like finishing a painthing, movie, or sculpture without any knowing any of the intentions or vision from the starter.KONAMI is not wrong for cancelling Silent Hills.

Your right, the consumer is what decides a business future, so why is it a problem that KONAMI focus on mobile when it pulls 20 mill a month or whatever they decide to decorate their gambling toys with?

The survey will be used for something.

Plot-twist: It's to launch the games on mobile

Or make them into themed gambling machines.

Consumers don't give a damn about gaming gods like Kojima much like how tons of people bought Final Fantasy XIII without Sakaguchi's involvement ...

It's about the TEAM, not the person and as such I as a consumer believed in the potential of Silent Hills. Yes they weren't wrong for cancelling it however that does not mean they were necessarily right about it either ...

If Konami makes a killing off of mobile then that's cool. All the more reason to doubt that they're investing on console gaming ...

Like I said before, it's not willful ignorance to expect to be dissappointed with Konami when you take a look at their actions ...
