No lie if they just announced and do a remake from the ground up, over hauling the graphics and controls while keeping the core gameplay  and battel system the same I would but it even at $60 lol. But I am with you hopefully this will be the gen that they revive it!

Yeah, there are so many great JRPGs that deserves to get a nice current gen treatment.
I'll play Chrono Cross when I can, seems like another great game as well.

Yes definitely give CC a shot it is a great game!

wait until you play xenoblade chronicles

I hope to play it one day, but it's a modern jRPG so Chrono Cross will always remain my fav classic. I played Xenoblade Chronicles on PC on Dolphin emulator a bit but got distracted by other games.

ughh emulators, i hate them xD play on a big TV, with the intended controls, its on the WIi U eshop in europ right now, im playing it for the first time now, its AMAZING

CC is almost the best...

FF6

Xenogears

Then CC

Also am i weird that i liked FF7 and 9  but have tried 8 like 5 times and ... i just cant....

Tales of Symphonia craps all over it. That's just a relatively recent game the past decade off the top of my head. Going back to the 90's there's maybe a dozen games that crush it.

Hahahahahaha

Tales of Symphonia? Average in every single way. In regards to series and genre.

It was an amazing game. It just suffered being called a sequel. But not really being one. To be a true sequel. You really need to stick to the primary characters. Or the original characters/story are used in some way. But if the references are so small. Or hidden. Or covered up in Matrix 2/3 size plot issues. People just consider it as not a continuation. Then the hate roles in. Since now the game is lying to everyone.

It's like what's going on now with Federation Force. All intended purposes, it should be a good game. But since people expect a Metroid a certain way. It will be hated and become shit. I love this game. I played both CT and CC. But many years later. So I didn't developed the hate when people where waiting for CC in 1999/2000. It should be on peoples love lists. But it's Zelda II, for the series. It's too bad Square didn't want to make a 3rd game and go back to the first games story. And then tried to salvage CC later. Nintendo could of stopped making Zelda at 2. But they didn't. And went back to the style of 1.

Not for people who played the first game. And didn't REALLY get into the story, in detail. From a basic level. It has convoluted nods and connections. IE like Matrix 2 and 3.

I didn't say it was dependent. I meant the connections are too burried and convoluted for a lot of people. Which is why people turned on the game. It didn't feel like a sequal. Too much hunting down. Not enough direct explnations. And lack of closer to the first games characters.
