I bash the online because i get screwed all the time due to lag and bad hit detection. Its also a pains me to see myself get kills on a guy due to lag. IW promised patches for the game to fix what was wrong way back in November, we have seen some patches but they do little to fix what is wrong with the game. The hit bad detection even happens in single player if you look for it.

But the game is still worth a purchase, and on the off chance you don't get screwed by bad hit detection or lag the game is very enjoyable.

Ohh NOW i see whats going on

I did not like the first Vegas at all. Based on that, I'm not too interested in the second one.

I kind of thought my allies were a little stupid at times despite me telling them where to go, or even rather slow about doing what I told them to do, but it was kind of cool to be able to order them around and such.

I didn't care much for the story and what made it even worse was the fact that the dialog volume was VERY quiet throughout most of the game. So because of that and the fact that there aren't any subtitles, I had to make the music nearly non-existent and really gimp the sound effects volume just to be able to begin to pickup on the character's words.

Online wasn't too bad, but it did lag at times (the online co-op was very laggy whenever I tried to play it) and some bad hit detection or something like that (like other people have said) made me happy that I was just renting it for a few days. Oh, and I really disliked the lack of any story and such in online co-op. Maybe it's to keep things going, but what if you wanted to play with a friend and you had just gotten the game, well the online co-op takes all of that out and places you on a bumpy, lag filled, and almost storyless ride.

*edit* Sorry, apparently I just posted a blank post.

I didn't like the co-op in the last game, cause as others have said, the story was removed, but this time they are doing it properly, by just adding in the extra man, and leaving the first man with his squad

I've never seen lag issues for CoD4 and i have a bad connection but it's a heck of a lot better then the lagfest of halo 3

The most annoying thing about Call of Duty 4 (PS3) online was, apart from using a controller when I'm a keyboard/mouse kind of guy, is that there is a delay when I play it. I don't know if it's my connection (which is more than enough for online games), the servers, or the game itself, but there is a very notciable delay that is VERY annoying. I either see it when I use a mounted LMG on the map or throw a grenade because there is a delay between when I press the button to fire/let go, there is a delay before the action is done. It's also very annoying when I'm running to cover and I just get behind it and die, but then the killcam says that I was killed while still out in the open.

*edit* Oh man, it's even worse with live grenades on the ground. I get out of the range of the grenade, but it still kills me because I wasn't 'actually' that far away from it yet.

lol, it's almost like playing Counter-Strike with a ping of 200-300, except that COD4 is actually playable.

If CoD4 and Rainbow six Vega 2 got into a fight, the winner would be Chuck Norris.

LOL

OT: No it won't. It will be the next Rainbow 6, COD5 will be the next COD4.

EDIT: Forgot my full stop.

Thats the thing about CoD4 online, the better your ping the more other players lag and the harder it is to hit them. If you have a 5/5 ping lots of your shots miss.  If you have a 3/5 ping and the other guys have a 4/5 or a 5/5, they will die before they see you, i have seen this happen a lot.
