You forgot the most important features, though:
The PS4 has many more games and plays the multi-platform games the best (on console). Also allowing to share them online with Share Play. Or on the go with Remote Play on PS Vita and Xperia phones. Any Android phone apparently, downloading the hacked app.

1. Ps4 installations are faster simply because it installs in the background. It allows you to play while it installs. On xbox one every time you install a game it also downloads and installs any updates at the same time. That's why it takes longer. From what I remember on ps3 and ps4 you have to download then install. On xbox one it does both at once
2. Instant switching only the last app/game? Lol xbox does it with the last 20 apps/games.
3. Hey my HDD is full so I'll buy another and install it. But hey now I have to transfer all those files to my new one or I could keep switching them. Unless you can use 2 at a time? No problem on xbox, just connect a new one.
4. You missed the point. I wasn't talking of a progression level. I mea t those achievements/trophies that have you "kill xxx enemies or find xxx items" there is progression bar that lets you know how many you have.
5. That was just IMO. Tested it myself.
6. Xbox one has plenty of media features. Ps4 just got the media player recently. Xbox has had it for months. Catch up sony.
7. If it has then why has sony been slow with their updates? Compared to Microsoft....monthly!
8. Just because you don't use Wi-Fi doesn't mean others don't. Stop trying to make something sound bad just because you don't like it. I have a dual band router so it works for me.
9. Bluetooth or WiFi direct....hmmmm. I'd choose WiFi direct for controller. Lag input is very low.
10. Yes both are down but xbox is always fixed quickly. Plus there are always warning messages on xbox but it hardly affects the games. Lets not mention all those times psn was down for long periods....
11. Yes they are adding more social features on this update. But who cares about social features? Lol I could care less. Xbox has the too but I don't use them.
PS: who supports shareplay? Name strong 3rd party games that use it? Aside from far cry.

Rare Replay is a collection of retro games, not a remaster. 30 games for $30 is a steal, especially because there are lot's of classics in it.
GoW UE isn't out yet. Sony has already announced there will be many more remasters.
Halo: MCC includes a remake of Halo 2 and thus isn't a true remaster. Sony on the other hand charges you $40 for a GoW3 R (resolution and framerate upgrade the only real difference).
Simple facts.

I could play most of those Rare games on PC for free. The other points, fair enough.
External HDD on XB1 is a big plus compared to PS4 IMO even if you can change your HDD on PS4, I would have preferred external HDD.
The fast UI, screenshots with one button (and since launch), playgo, 15mn of past games always being recorded (that function always worked perfectly for me) and Spotify are really big features on the PS4 though (for me).
hmm, although those features are useful, I think I would only use the PlayGo feature and its not even that great IMO.

Uh, how? Piracy? lol. Or has Nintendo just given these games away free on PC?

It doesn't. One or two games work similarly because they were done that way and that's it. It's more a feature of those few games than of the console. On PS4 it's mandatory and every game above a certain file size utilises it, though some better than others. I don't know how you can say people will play after it's all downloaded when having to wait for a download to finish is the worse part about buying digital and this is a great solution to that. Clearly not something that should be ignored given the examples I wrote. It should be an even bigger priority on XB1 considering its horrid install times compared to PS4. As for remote playing I don't see a lot of people having any use streaming between a PC and Xb1 in the same house. That's be kinda like the Wii U and PS TV capabilities, but not Vita RP. |
No, there are numerous games on X1 that are playable before install is complete. If you wanna argue its done better on PS4, okay but both consoles are cabable of doing it similar enough. I recall playing Halo campaigns while multiplayer content was downloading.
The install times are fine on X1. Maybe youre confused with the update process being part of the disc install.
The thing is how often are you gonna play a game while its installing? Hence, being able to play a game while it downloads doesent need to be a huge priority for developers.
People could use X1 streaming on laptop or tablet as well. Do I need to make scenario for you? If someone wants to play X1 but the TV is in use or they want to play in a different room, their PC, laptop, or tablet can be used. All of those devices can potentially connect to a TV as well. X1 has remote play on more practical devices. Frankly, Sony should consider straming to Windows as well.
