Everybody loves sequels, right? So I made a sequel to Sawmill Thrill. Which ones do you guys like better? Which one is harder? Did I introduce enough new ideas? Is it unfair at any point? (I testplayed and changed a lot to make it fair, even threw in some hidden help items for noobs).

I prefer the sequel, the jumps are spaced out a bit better. It took more tries but after learning the stage I can do it in 1 go. The first one is still hard. These kind of levels are fun to try over and over to get right, doesn't take long.
I also played Thwomp castle (Remix) gave up after 15 tries, the start becomes annoying as you have to wait for the thomps to fall in order. Also getting hurt to complete the jump sequence kept throwing me off.
Donkey kong country: Bopolis, same problem for me. Too many difficult jumps in a row. That stage would be perfect to add conveyer belts along the bottom to transport you back to a checkpoint with a door. Check out NWC 2015-4, last course in course bot if you've completed all the 10 Mario challenges. (Not that I can complete that, frustrating level, but contains lots of ideas for 'checkpoints')
Nice variation in levels btw.

Ok, guys, I finally did it, I made Bopopolis from Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze. I think it's my hardest level yet, although I completed it in a couple of tries only.

The annoying part is that the enemies fly up and down, while they don't move in DKC: TF. I did the best I could anyway, I hope you like it.

edit: holy shit, some kid tried my DKC level 42 times and never beat it!

I wonder who that was.

Oops, sorry for calling you a kid! Your miiverse avatar looked like a little boy lol.

I'll play some of your levels to make up for it lol.

I guess I added another 21 fails to your level lol. Not a kid either, but you are right, the movement of the enemies makes it very hard. You can restrict their movement by putting them on a single piece vertical track. It doesn't look as nice though.

Thanks for the feedback! You just have to stand where the coins are placed for the first obstacle, it's not very hard, it just looks hard. As for the spin jumps on the thwomps, it's not very hard either imo. This is the kind of level I'd place in a post-game world, so I can understand if some people think it's too hard/annoying. But I like some challenge in my levels.

It might be easier to get the hang of the spin jump if you download the level and play it in builder mode? :)

Keep in mind that my DKC level is based on level 2-K from DKC: TF, it's supposed to be hard and not have any checkpoints!

So what's your favorite level you created? I'll play it before going to bed (need a code though).

I did it! Bopopolis conquered. The trick is not getting the donkey kong suit, which is hard not too cause it's so cool lol. The sequence of the koopa troopas screws up when you delay anywhere. Luckily I did get the suit at the end, nasty hazard right before the flag, shame on you :)

What is a spin jump? Ugh I'm a noob at Mario, I'll give it another try and see what spinning does. I never use that button :/
The first obstacle isn't hard, my patience is the problem, waiting for the sequence of thwomps to drop over the gears. I just want to go go go after a restart.

The last one I made ofcourse. "We must peform a Quirkafleeg" CBA0-0000-005A-3440 based on Jet Set Willy 2 (last of the Miner Willy series)
Yet if you want something short play Rhythmic Dash B833-0000-003B-0FCC it's 30 seconds of mayhem.

When you stand still and press ZR (gamepad) Mario will do his spin move, that's the only way you can get across those thwomps you know. :p The whole level is based around it. xD

Hmm, I never had a problem with the amiibo costume. Congrats mate! Sorry for the frustration, but I hope the satisfaction of being the first to complete it is worth it. :)

Just played your haunted cathedral, fair but challenging level. Had some tense moments at the end lol. Took me 3 tries. Gave it a star.

Ghost houses are hard to make for me, I'm more of a "keep moving" kind of guy when it comes to making levels.

Beat it, pretty challenging and long level, but I liked it. How many tries did it take me? I lost count. :p

I tried to make it speedrun friendly. You can go through it quite quickly when you know what to expect. Most of it is timed in favor of going forward at a quick pace.

Beat both Thwomp levels, 2 stars for teaching me a new jump technique. The remix is better, the first one I kept dying by the boss fire attacks if not by the helmet already laying on the ground, so in the end I just grabbed the flower and made a run for it ignoring everything. Jumping on Thwomps is fun, new possibilities.

Yeah, I felt the fire attacks from Bowser were annoying, so I replaced him with a giant Bowser Jr.

Man, what a great game, I love the interaction with the community in this game.
