Same, about the only reason its as well known as it is, is because of the halo beta stuff, too.

What about the people that love the franchise? We have no say in the hype?

I feel about Crackdown the same way I felt about Sony with MAG. Emotionless and waiting for something with charisma to come out of it. A technical showpiece but nothing that really challenges or shows brilliance.

LOL So true...the only reason people bought that was to get their hands on Halo 3. Its the same situation with Final Fantasy 15 demo. The lesser gamer gets propped up by the eagerly awaited demo.

I can't ask her questions now?

Ugh....the point is that you have every right to have your hype. Its just her opinion. No one should take that right from you.

Thanks for pointing out that she wasn't speaking for me and reciting my miranda rights.

I didn't say she was wrong, I just asked her what she thinks of us that are genuinely stoked with this reveal.

Why do people like these games? Crackdown was the least challenging game I've ever played. I wanted to test how long it would take for me to die if I did nothing, so I got cops and the gangs to attack me, and I sat there for seriously three minutes. Eventually I gave up on the experiment because you're functionally invincible in this game.

No you aren't that is complete bullshit as many times I died. Complete bull. Playing on easy that maybe true so it may not be complete bullshit. I went straight to the hardest difficulty.

I believe a lot of ppl found that the game was very fun afterwards. So its not entirely true. That is not the only reason. There are gamers waiting for it.

Ok, so I guess a thing I actually experienced in this game is "complete bull."  Cool.

OVERHYPE! Let us all chill the fuck down and avoid the Hype-train.

I don't wanna step on anyone's feelings, i just want the truth to be academic and not based on someones belief.

It's not hard to create destructive buildings and the problem with object that can be destroyed is that it limits a lot of other types of freedom and accurate animation. Like BF4 when you are on top of a building that is collapsing, the animation is so inaccurate that you basically die 3-6 seconds before the building actually collapse.

If the destruction in this game is as good as they say? well, then the animation should allow enough freedom for a charactor to run through a corridor during a collapse, where he will not crushed like a pancake before the actual collapse reaches the floor-level that he is in.

If the collapses look anything alike the WTC in New york which was a controlled demolition by cutting the steel, a gigantic brew of explosive Thermite-material, which are 200c warmer then burning Jet-fuel. Which turned concrete to dust and basically melted the infrastructure so fast that the building had a free-fall drop. I've seen enough explosions in real life in both war and several exercises to know how a building will collapse from one of the most efficient missiles can cause. 600 Hell-fire missiles would have had problems bringing down building just as fast like WTC and Shanghai dropped to the ground.
We should be able to see crushed parts of furnitures, Electronics and so on laying around as well as paper and clothings.

If this game got accurate destructive animation. which was special-tailored to react accordingly on where it get hit, critical places and such. I am on board but i am still convinced that this animation is completely possible on the hardware alone. It's not really that demanding and the graphics didn't seem to be that taxing either, so there is plenty of room.

Results= truth. The Academic truth.
