well, the technology is cool but the game looks kinda bland.

Pre-alpha. Bland in terms of content?

in terms of visuals, like, the art style and stuff. maybe the game is going to be fantastic but this thread is about the power of the x1. this is not the best game to talk about the power of the x1.

It's about the power to render the physics. To process various moving pieces of all sizes at the same time, which can compromise visual performance (framerate) on any machine. If there is any game to talk about the power is this Crackdown.

Art style is cell shaded and the game is vivid with colors.

If you are showing your games to a friend that doesnt have a X1, which game should impress him the most?

Crackdown 3 or Quantum Break?

I dont give a fuck what goes under the hood of Crackdown 3, Quantum Break looks WAAAAAY better.

QB is a story driven and linear TPS like Uncharted or Gears. It should look a lot better than an open world game.

Of course, go into MP and show your friend the destruction going on. Now what is more impressive? Maybe he likes the complete chaos of Crackdown 3 and think it looks more impressive. Or maybe he likes artsy games with amazing style and he'll literally shit his pants in awe if you load up Ori. In other words per usual what impresses someone most is based on opinion.

... But doesn't this mean only people connected to the internet will experience these oh-so-destructible environments and physics? I mean, if my console isn't hooked up to the internet, I'd not be able to experience what seems to be a major feature of this game, right?

If you can update your console or even look at time on your console, you can get these "oh-so-destructible environments and physics".

nothing impressive to be honest, like I said, the technology is cool but that's about it.

It's definitely not a game for everyone. However, for multiplayer and chaos loving players, it looks like a paradise.

Most powerful console*

*Internet connection required**

**valid only while buildings are collapsing and in my mode, otherwise your xb1 is still an xb1***

*** up to 4 players

....the game looks otherwise hugly, my eyes are bleeding... still impressive to look at crumbling buildings, just sad that the maps/ player count is so limited...but this is understandable as the power of the cloud is not infinite at all.

Surely PS Now turns the PS3/4/Vita into the most powerful consoles in history, given that in theory you can play any game [3rd party game with a PC version] at ultra PC settings, if you have a fast enough internet connection.

I just wonder if this means the game won't be playable after the servers are shut down for it?

In terms of graphics and animations the game looked terrible. The destruction was cool but they need some real polish before I could agree with OP.

Are the building just empty shells? Can you go in the and have fun fights? Or are they building shaped Jenga towers.

If it's an actual city that you can enter and have battles in, then yes, absolutely revolutionary. If there just destrcutable scenery that you can only stand on, then despite being cool I can't get excited about the actual gameplay revolution.

Speaking of gameplay, I really hope they nail the gunplay because no matter how many building can be brought down, if the ge doesn't play well its just am interested physics demo.
