Unless his games are all indies (and I mean from the Indie store, not the Arcade one), it doesn't make sense that you have to access Xbox Live to get them. Either he removed the rights from the console or that console wasn't his to begin with, because otherwise you wouldn't have that DRM.

What?

Sounds like a banned account, or well you bought the console from him, but did you also agree that you would get to use his account? because you know that his games are tied to his account and not the console right? if you login to another account on the console his arcade titles will just be demos for the most part.
