Running Sprint Results

Welcome back sports fans, the 7^th event of the Pokémon Olympics the Running Sprint is about to begin. This event is all about speed and acceleration. Once the starter’s gun goes off the racers will fly down the track with hopes of crossing the line first and being the faster runner in the Pokémon Olympics. Representing team Generation 1, we have Arcanine and Rapidash! Representing team Generation 2, we have Houndoom and Suicune! Representing team Generation 3, we have Blaziken and Manetric! Representing team Generation 4, we have Luxray and Lucario! Representing team Generation 5 we have Zebstrika and Zoroark. Representing team Generation 6 we have Greninja and Pyroar! The runners are now under starters orders.

On your mark! Get set! Bang! The race had finally begun and right out of the gates Rapidash stormed out taking the early lead and was closely followed by Zebstrika and Manetric on the other hand Lucario, Luxray and Zoroark had started off slowly. Rapidash continued to lead the pack as he barrelled down the track, right behind him was Zebstrika who was also making tracks. Manetric who was off to a quick start ended up having Suicune and Arcanine running side by side with him for a bit before both Pokémon pulled slightly ahead with Suicune pulling ahead of Arcanine. Pyroar was just a small distance behind them giving it his all with houndoom being around the same distance behind him with Greninja right on Houndoom’s tail. Luxray was currently in 9^th followed by Lucario who was barely ahead of Zoroark who was barely ahead of Blaziken.

Rapidash continued to run faster and faster now creating a gap between him and the other racers, Zebstrika was still in second and trying his best to keep up with Rapidash but was quickly dropping behind him. Arcanine had managed to push himself past suicune and was now in third and was gaining fast on Zebstrika. Suicune had 4^th place and had now created a gap between him and Manetric who was still 5^th. Pyroar continued to run in 6^th place but he was being followed closely by Houndoom and close to houndoom was Luxray and Greninja. Luxray had caught up to the ninja frog who was right behind houndoom and both were running hard trying to ensure the other wouldn’t get passed.  Behind them was Lucario who was barely ahead of Zoroark and blaziken who were both fighting for last.

Rapidash continued to lead as the finish line edge ever closer, his lead was cemented and there was no one who was close enough to challenge him on the line, however the battle for 2^nd place was heating up. Arcanine had ran past Zebstrika taking second place but Zebstrika quickly retaliated and sped up again quickly catching back up to Arcanine as the two ran neck and neck towards the line. Suicune wasn’t too far behind them and kept running as hard as it could in 4^th place. Manetric followed behind Suicune in 5^th place unable to close the gap Suicune had created. Houndoom began sprinting even harder and pushed his way past Pyroar to take the 6^th spot. Pyroar had managed to maintain 7^th. Luxray was sprinting hard and managed to pass Greninja, leaving greninja in 9^th. Blaziken then sprinted even harder trying to close the gap between him and 9^th while leaving the others in his dust however Lucario wasn’t having that and answered his sprint with his own. Both Pokémon were running hard and were neck and neck unfortunately Zoroark was unable to answer their sprint and fell behind.

Rapidash sprinted and passed the line first, securing Gen 1’s third gold medal of the competiton. Finishing behind him was Arcanine and Zebstrika. Arcanine pulled ahead of zebstrika before the line and thought he had second but Zebstrika answered one last time with a final push beating out Arcanine for 2^nd by a nose. Suicune was the next to finish followed by Manetric. Houndoom was heading down fast towards the line but Pyroar had now unleashed his final burst of speed and he ran harder closing the gap between houndoom and passing him right on the line taking 6^th spot. Houndoom was forced to settle for 7^th. Behind them Luxray was running towards the line but Greninja wasn’t backing down. The ninja frog Pokémon pushed himself harder and harder until they crossed the line at the exact same time. Greninja had managed to close the gap but couldn’t clinch 8^th place by himself and had to settle for a tie. Lucario ran passed Blaziken and edged him out taking 10^th place leaving blaziken in 11^th. Zoroark finished last a small length behind the others.

3rd Place: Arcanine - 86 Points - Bronze Medal

4th Place: Suicune - 80 Points

5th Place: Manetric- 68 Points

6th Place: Pyroar -  56 Points

7th Place: Houndoom - 54 Points

8th Place: Greninja and Luxray - 43 Points

10th Place: Lucario - 32 Points

11th Place: Blaziken - 29 Points

12th Place: Zoroark - 17 Points

Close race, especially between 2nd and 3rd! I thought Luxray would place a bit higher but all in all everyone's where they should be :P

Ka-pi96 said: huh, a draw for third? With it being 4 separate votes on 4 separate Pokemon the chances for a draw had to be crazily low, but it happened

Infernape and Garchomp brought gen 4 back. If weavile was first leg they probably would have 2nd or 1st for themself.

Update: So, I have 2 days off from school soon so depending on how much home work I get today and how much stuff I have to do for the scholarship I'm after to be mine write ups will continue. I have about half of the 1st round battles in sky battles done and once I get passed the sky battles in general the rest of it should be easy to catch up to.
