Steve Smith, Sr out for season w/ torn Achilles? No word on Bell's status after his knee, and apparently Andrew Luck's been playing with fractured ribs for weeks (and he's not on the injury report).

I'd be amazed if le'veon bell didn't tear his acl, I could practically hear it snap when I saw the play.

Guaranteed not 1st place this week. Can only hope for 2nd.

Yeah I heard it was a really ugly situation, sounded like how Seidenberg wrecked his ACL a couple seasons ago. (Bruins)

Well that stunkkkkkk

Eli had 30/41 completions, 350 yards, 6 TD's and we still lose ZAMNNNN! I usually don't complain about the refs, but that was just a butt call at the end.

Oh Geno.

Sorry Jets' fans.

Welp, not going to get the Jets game right with Geno in there. Oh well.

So this is ridiculous.

If Oakland doesn't collapse, the AFC will have three undefeated teams (at the very least until the end of SNF, and, if Denver can knock off Green Bay, until next week). The fourth best team will have three losses.

The level of disparity between the top of the league and the next level is becoming absurd. We're at the point where I'm not sure there is such a thing as a "marquee win" in this league unless you take down one of those five unbeatens.

This is absolutely the truth. There are a couple-three 'good/great' teams, a ton of mediocre teams, and a fair number of dumpster fires.

It's the least competive year I can remember seeing since watching the NFL from the mid 1980s. Above all, it's the SUPREME inconsistency for most of the mediocre teams from one week to the next.

Well, the amount of franchise QB's, and great coaches in the league could be counted on one hand, really.  That's kind of the problem.  No amount of salary capping, or free agency is going to alter that fact.  And given what we've heard regarding QB readiness out of College, it's an issue that's not going to get better anytime soon.
