The reason i pick them to lose every week is because I want too. Last time I checked it's rare people get all games right every week so me sacrificing a loss because I loathe the cheaters is fine by me

Speaking of a brain that isn't working, you are supposed to create a new post if there is any kind of update to your predictions. That rule exists for a reason: There are no timestamps to show when a post was edited, so allowing people to edit their posts could and would turn this prediction league into a mess.

I collect and enter predictions in the spreadsheet on two days of the week. The first time is on Thursday because of TNF, the second time is on Sunday because that's when the next games are and several people don't submit their Sunday/Monday picks before TNF. On Sunday I don't look through the posts of this thread that were created before TNF, because I've already looked at all those posts when I entered picks on Thursday and because of the rule that people aren't allowed to edit their posts; you see, if people follow the rules, then there's absolutely no need for me to go through old pages of this thread.

Suppose you made your above edit anytime between TNF and the early Sunday games. In that case I couldn't have seen it today and I wouldn't see it in the following days. Come Monday, you ask why your CHI@DET pick shows DET and I tell you that's because that's what your pick was. Then you point at your post with the edit and I have to tell you that it can't be verified when the edit was made. For all I know, you could have made it during the Sunday games when Detroit tanked hard and you tried to steal a win. Everyone else would look at it the same way, because we have a competition here. And all you have is your word that you changed your pick before CHI@DET started. The word of a Patriots fan, so a fan of cheating. Okay, scratch that last part.

But the point remains that we would be looking at a situation that isn't good for anybody, and it's a situation that could have been easily avoided by following the rules. An additional post to update your picks isn't going to earn you the reputation of a spammer and it's certainly not going to make things harder for me; quite the opposite actually, because that way I will definitely notice that you changed your predictions, plus there's a timestamp to prove when you did it.
