Driveclub selling over 2 million units really isn't that big of a deal even the vastly inferior The Crew easily managed to sell over a million copies on the PS4.

And a vastly superior game  still outsold (and SOLD-THROUGH) The Crew(barring the PC digital sales) despite being on a single platform.

You do realize that The Crew was released two month later and unlike Driveclub it wasn't delayed numerous times.  Again Driveclub selling over 2 million isn't a big deal even Project CARS will probably easily sell over a million copies on the PS4 and that game had numerous issues at launch also not as much as the X1 version but it still had more issues then most games.

I prefer pure sims, but Driveclub seems a very well made simcade, and this makes it sit in an ideal position in the current PS4 library, with ProjectCARS filling the pure sim slot (although the latter can be set up on variable levels of sim-arcade compromises, but anyway its hardest sim setting makes it fill the sim segment), and on the opposite side with more or less pure arcades, waiting for GT7, that surely will eat potential sales from both, but it won't replace them completely, expanding instead the market in its own territory of hugest console sim racer (although not anymore the purest console sim, unless its 7th major version will have a PC sim purity level available like ProjectCARS).

Two months later is not that much time and Driveclub is still ahead by a couple of hundred thousand copies which were certified,-sold through while The Crew remains shipped and forgotten and broken. What is there not to get except the fact you are conveniently leaving out the fact that Driveclub is an exclusive and remains the best selling racing videogame on PS4.

PS4 has more userbase which seems the to be the reason more gamers are picking Project Cars or The Crew up on PS4 but denying the fact that Driveclub sold well because of whatever reasons you have is certainly not making any sense.  It's still an exclusive which means it has less market to penetrate into. Case Closed.

Congratz to evolution for this amazing experience

I Hate REMASTERS

I Hate PLAYSTATION PLUS

Well even Sony themselves aren't too impressed with Driveclub's sales since they layed off a good portion of the people that helped develop it.

I tried the game and I sucked really bad at it,so I deleted it. Could'nt even drive 5 seconds without crashing into the walls. I was thinking it would be a midnight club type game. lol

And don't you think some of them, fed up with waiting for the free version, would have just went ahead and bought it with the discount?

Well, he does have a point actually. There were many people who waited for the PS+ version and eventually forgot all about the game BUT there were also lots of people who eventually bought the game when it dropped in price. Overall though, the promise of a PS+ version MUST have effected sales, even if it was only minor.

The PS5 Exists.

Well done Evolution. They've done a great job supporting the game since launch.

not so much of a flop after all. i still do wonder why let a lot of staff go at Evolution. 2 million sales isnt that bad honestly.

Probably because they failed to make a properly functional game at launch... Plus, letting employees go after a game is complete is fairly standard...

As far as I know no one at Playground Games was let go after they finished Horizon 2 but they are already working on the 3rd game.

Yep they better keep doing annual games to keep themselves employed.
