Back from work. It's been a very slow week, apparently. Our sales for the whole week thus far are:

0 PS3s
0 360s
0 Wiis
5 DS
1 PSP

Which is incredibly slow all around, even for the handhelds. We're still sold out of Wiis by the way, and we get our next shipment on the 22nd, this Sunday.

I had my first customer come in today and buy a 360 based explicitly on the exclusive GTA4 content. He asked me a bunch of questions about the PS3 and 360, was weighing the strengths and weaknesses... but when he found out about GTA, he immediately made up his mind. As you can see by my sales, he didn't buy one on the spot, because he was low on money, but he did say: "Thanks for the info, I've made up my mind."

I have a new co-worker today. He's a 29 year old guy named Mike. We started talking about games, naturally. His last video game system was the Xbox, although he apparently hasn't played it or any games for years. He now states that he has interest in the Wii, and will get one sometime at or near Christmas time (so he says now, at least). He definitely indicated that the Wii had reinvigorated his interest in gaming.

I had a young guy come in today, maybe 10ish, who was looking for wrestling games on the PS2. He started asking me questions about the 360. I talked about the 360, then the PS3, then the Wii, giving him information on each. When I got to the Wii, he said he really didn't like it very much. He had owned one, but it didn't suit him, so he sold it.

Well, this COULD confirm what I have been thinking about the PS3 price drop. People are buying it at Circuit City because it clearly advertises $500 +5 Free BR Movies + Controller, and Amazon, because of the Free movies- as well as other Amazon PS3 games/accessories sales. As far as Wal-Mart online store, Wal-Mart probably has it for $499.88 (LoL).

Yes, it's important to note that we have no signage detailing the 5 free movie deal for the PS3. We have lots of signs for the price drop, but not the movie deal. That should be noted by all looking at my figures, please.

I do tell people about the deal whenever they ask me about the PS3, but that's not the same.
