The Pc version of a Tomb Raider is not the same as Tomb Raider Definitive where the whole character model was revamped just for the XBO and PS4 so no

So what? They still redid the game. Microsoft just included the other games as an extra bonus. Halo 2:A actually looks different and redid things correctly. Not just some stupid rez bump and fps bump on a SINGLE game and charge $40 that doesn't really look any different from the original release.

So you are choosing to compare the only Remake portion to a Remaster?

Why? You have the definition of remaster in front of you.

The Halo 2:A game is a true remaster. Something they took apart and redid to make it look great. The other games in the collection are not. They are simple ports. Are we going to now say Mgs5 ground zeros or gta 5 because it was ported to PC and looks better on PC?

Come on. The slight resolution difference and framerate increase hardly made a difference in games like GOW3 and Uncharted collection and you know it. My problem is pc games with decent hardware can acheieve better resolution, better framerate, more particle effects,ect and we don't call them remasters. Why should we call GOW3 or Uncharted Collection "remasters"


The ignorance and desperation in your post to bash sony is pathetic...UC collection has major changes that include Gameplay changes, photo mode, Textures, cut scenes, Lighting...MS remasters like gears are the same... Do you have proof all PC games are just ported and not made for the platform? Do you have Proof porting from Cell to PS4 is easy developers smarter then you say it's nightmare. Those games first iteration are on PC so no the are not remakes.... This is a pathetic thread from a  pathetic desperate Xbox fanboy.

 

Is gears remastered really a remaster? What are they then? Please tell us the term?

FF7, is a remake. (when it gets released).

A remake is when you take a game and literally remake it and where outside the story and game mechanics (maybe) the remade game will not in anyway look like the original.

A remaster is where you take an old game and boost its performance across the board. Better textures, rez, framerate, effects...etc.
