Think I'm going to buy a Zune today.

In terms if hardware, I don't really buy much from Microsoft. In fact I don't have never owned any Microsoft hardware.
On the software side of things, I own both Windows 7 ( Upgrading to Windows 10 soon ) and Office.
I switched to Apple last year and I will Never buy a Microsoft product again. I just got disappointed too many times by them. The only thing I have left is the Xbox 360. But I don't use it anymore.

I have an iPhone 6, MacBook Pro, and I use all the Apple created software such as Pages and Keynote. I also buy Nintendo systems and, in the past, have owned Sony systems. So definitely not.
Edit: I did own an original XBox, though.
Hm. It's not like I hate Microsoft and if they came along with a really good product that I wanted, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it.
On the other hand, I'd happily leap from Windows to Linux if it wasn't for gaming and I'd have little problem dropping Office for a freeware solution. I don't really like the constant rebranding, consolidating, and splitting Microsoft does. I don't like a lot of the business tactics they've used over the years, either. I do, however, like Microsoft more than Apple.
As for Microsoft products I've owned, it's been all software. I was forced to buy Office by the school, which annoyed the hell out of me, but at least there was a major discount involved.
I don't think any of their physical products interest me much in general.

I have a Windows PC and Laptop.
I really like Windows Phone and Surface, but I don't need a tablet enough to buy one, and am addicted to Samsung Galaxies.
starcraft - Playing Games = FUN, Talking about Games = SERIOUS
In addition to Xbox (360 and One), I own the original Surface RT,- My wife owns the Lumia 1020 Windows phone which I love (amazing camera). I would like to own the Surface 3 and the Band some day.
Xbox 360 and Xbox One

I would guess that you match what most peoples feelings are. Lucky for MS, those programs will be subscription based going forward, so you will have to pay them yearly one way or another. I would guess over time, that many new PC games will come to the Win10 store. Meaning that the need for Steam or similar will diminish somewhat. Hell, if Valve were smart, they would swing for the fences now and get the cashout from MS. But, MS knows that the ecosystem thing will over time wipe out the need for STEAM for 90%+ of the users. STEAM will probably always need to exist for the hardcore group. Even then, most of the publishers out there will re-release many of their games to the Win10 store for another payout...
It is near the end of the end....
