I'm glad Sony didn't allow us the option of subscribing to EA Access! Why would I want 12 free games, a 10% discount along early access for $2.50 a month!? There's no value there! Instead, I'd much rather pay 10X that much per month for PSNow where I can stream 8 year old game with terrible input lag! PSNow wont have any negative repercussions on the industry, right!? I WANT a future where there are no consoles, just streaming services where I pay an exorbitant amount of money to play games that I don't even own with controls that don't react to my inputs! Yeah! To hell with EA Access, bring on PSNow!!!

Didn't you already post this earlier (even several times?), and then edited your previous post (turning it into "Hum...."), just to post it again?

What do you want us to respond to this so much?

What are you talking about?  I have other posts in this thread but I'm not copy/pasting.  If you're angry that I made a point you can't counter then fine, but please don't accuse me of doing things I haven't done.  No need to act childish just because my opinion makes more sense than yours.

Why do you compare EA Access with the PS Now and not the PS Plus (that fits more) ?

Ps Plus allows you to play 72 games for free per year and gives reductions on PSN too.

On topic, I don't understand well, is this just a demo (or a full version limited in game time) that you can play 1 week before ?

Edit : I don't see the problem with Sony deal, it's just a marketing deal for advertisment, right ? This doesn't prevent EA giving it a try on their own service earlier

I don't know if you've played Battlefield and Battlefront I or II but the two are rather different.

*edit* If you're referring back to Battlefield1942 then I'd agree they're similar, though the look and feel are quite different and Battlefront included some extra features and gameplay modes. There's very little in common between the newer Battlefields and Battlefront I & II.

I did play Battlefront 1, 2, and Renegade Squadron (Best one).  I also played BF2 on PS2 a few years after playing the Battlefront games and said "Wow this is the exact same thing."

They are both class-based 24-64 player shooters with vehicles and conquest.  The.  Same.

Except of course Battlefront is primarily 3rd person and doesn't really play anything like Battlefield.

Bet with Adamblaziken:

I bet that on launch the Nintendo Switch will have no built in in-game voice chat. He bets that it will. The winner gets six months of avatar control over the other user.

I can be mistaking and I'm sorry if that's the case ^^. It's just that I was almost sure to have read your post before, and your last post is a "Hummmmmm..." that I don't remember at all from the previous page.

Maybe you just used some of the same arguments before and I'm mixing things up.

Nothing to do with your opinion making more sense than mine when you compare two different things ^^.

Entirely different game modes (I'm going to miss me some Galactic Conquest), inclusion of heroes, Two different eras to fight in, almost entirely offline, controls are nothing alike, and plays more like Splatoon than battlefield.

But there's guns, so I suppose they're the same.

I wonder how many of the people saying EA Access is a terrible idea that could one day morph into something sinister that could destroy gaming!!!!1 were saying the same thing when PS+ was announced? All I remember hearing last gen was what a terrific service it was and oh my, what a value!

I feel like Matthew McCagauney or whatever in A Time to Kill. "Close your eyes. Imagine free* games. Imagine discounts. Imagine you get subscriber exclusive features. Think about the early access to games, and the exclusive trials. Think about the demos. Now I want you to imagine it's PS+".

If you enjoy EA games, it's worth the price. Same as I said about PS+. If you don't, then there's no need for you to care about the service, it's not for you. But to say it's bad for the industry or will lead to terrible things, LOL.

The PS Now (or PS+) vs. EA Access discussion is starting to derail the thread from the original point. So let's go back to the topic at hand: Battlefront being playable first on EA Access. Mentioning Sony, the PS4, PS Now, etc. does not necessarily derail the thread as long as the points are relevant to the topic but let's just avoid creating unnecessary conflict here.

Cool that they get an extended demo ...

Get way more than that but I get what you're saying.

True that but that's probably it's main selling point I think ...

10% off SW:Battlefront for EA Access subscribers.
