Sony Computer Entertainment America has filed a trademark for “Gnomageddon” in the United States.

The mark was filed on July 15 for use with “computer game software,” “video game software,” and for “operating a real-time game for others over global and local area computer networks.” (These are the same goods and services Sony’s other game-related trademarks are filed for.)

At this time, Sony has not announced anything related to the trademar

No man. :P I sincerely can't find any purpose on those dating/sex games. But I can only see this VR thing being sold to a very dedicated demographic. Maybe I will be wrong and VR sells respectably, I don't know.

I'm not certain about VR either. I feel as if it could explode in popularity or fade into obscurity. I don't even consider the middle ground for some reason.

I know what you mean. I would consider a "middle-ground" a "initial Kinect sales" threshold.

I think there is a problem with these peripherals being added later on. The key may be adding it out of the gate, like Sony waiting for PS5 to bundle Morpheus with each console, and making it a core experience to the console, like Nintendo did with the WiiMote.

Of course, on the other hand Kinect 2 proved that if people don't want something, bundling won't make a difference anyway.
