Forums - Gaming - Supersonic Fury add-on pack and free map coming to Rocket League this month

Via the US PlayStation Blog:

But that’s not all. We have BIG plans for Rocket League and our players, which is why you can expect to see plenty more from us over the next several weeks, months, and hopefully, even years. We are already putting the finishing touches on our first paid add-on pack, “Supersonic Fury,” which will add two new cars and several more surprises later this month. Even better: our first DLC map, inspired by the classic Battle-Cars arena, “Utopia,” is almost done as well and will be available in July. And, like all of our future maps, it will be 100% free. But we’ll have more on that soon.

Finally, on behalf of everyone here at Psyonix, thank you. Thank you very much to our new and existing fans that have shown us why we love our jobs. Thank you for supporting our game and keeping us going. And thank you for making it all worthwhile. We couldn’t have done it without you.

Now, go have fun!

Cool stuff, free maps. I might even reward the developers by buying the cars, even though I don't really care about skins and cosmetics. But they deserve to make a lot of money, and with millions playing they surely will.

Fuck yeah! They really listened to the users. Utopia map is absolutely rad and finally not just a big square.

If you demand respect or gratitude for your volunteer work, you're doing volunteering wrong.

Good to know all maps will be free

with all this hype/threads i suppose i should download this sooner than later. this is all online mp right?

There is also single player seasons vs. AI, and up to 4 local players split-screen.

bold does me no good.  i'm married so i have no friends that i live with and my son is about 5 years too young to game with me at any level.

italics isn't the main point though right?  smash bros has AI too but the game plays terribly without someone to play with.  i figured this is the same.  i don't expect i'll like rocket league but if i feel like i should try it now while the community is still hot.

Then you have your wife for two player split screen... I am currently in the middle of RE Revelations 2 coop with mine.

And my 3yo daughter just discovered the charms of the PS+ Driveclub, so far she knows how to hold R2 and not let go...(about my level of racing also). She has graduated from Angry Birds Go on the mobile.

Give Rocket League a chance, and I think your son might have a lot of fun just watching.

The AI in Rocket League isn't bad. They make better passes and can do better shots than anyone I've played with online. I've gotten better playing against the AI on the highest difficulty by copying what they do.

My brother and I just started playing at the game is amazingly fun. I can see myself playing months from now. The developers sounds very chill, I can get behind them.
