Well, Hobbit was atrocious adaption, no matter how long or short it was. They made what is basically kids book into 'cool' heads flying off Hollywood CGI masturbation.

And Hobbit movies got everything wrong. Dwarves aren't handsome, they stink, they fart a lot, talk loud and are really unpolite. Dwarf being pretty is comething really fucked up in my opinion, the fan service destroyed this movie.
And they trying to turn it into an epic, the Hobbit book turns to be epic in it's own way, but it's a ligh-hearted adventure at core, with no intention of throwing big wars at our face, it's more about the funny moments like the Ogre part than about a big war. I read The Hobbit before I even saw a Lord of the rings movie, and to say the ring isn't that special, well, it makes Bilbo invisible, but I can't remember anything referencing it of being from an extremely evil being.
I'm really a Hobbit fan, not so much a Lord of The Rings fan, but anyway, making 3 movies were a bad decision...
I felt scammed when I watched The Hunger games: Mockinjay part 1. The book was a million times better than that slow-paced and out of thin air scene creating movie.
