Go watch some AVGN

And if you speak french, check out the Joueur du Grenier, too.

The worst game I ever played was Rocky on the Sega Master System. 3 combats in all (Apollo Creed, Clubber Lang and finally Ivan Drago, with 3 training sessions in between), the first one being very easy, the second one pretty much impossible without autofire and the third one is even worse. And when you win, back to the title screen

For me it does because I returned it after just an hour of renting! My god it was so bad at the time. I know there's worse games out there but I needed it to have some recognition here ;)

I might actually agree with you if I went back and played it now, but back then I didn't know any better. :) I'm trying to think if there are any other RPGs I've played that I'd call worse, but none come to mind. I'd probably even take it over complete grindfests with random battles and uncreative dungeon maps like Phantasy Star 2 (I once spend two hours a day for three straight weeks just grinding for the final boss in that game!). I'd definitely slog through it over a ton of other games though.

Most definitely! I know there are tons of horrible games out there as well. Perhaps I'll give Quest another try soon, it was been 18 years I guess o.O

Dragon Quest 1 (Dragon Warrior). It was hyped to no end by NOA, but when I brought it home I was dumbfounded. The game was terrible and boring. No action. Encounters with slime balls. Pretty lame when you're expecting another Zelda.

Yoshis Story. And Yoshis Story. And maybe Yoshis Story.

As for retro Studios, Perfect Dark was quite a let down compared to Golden Eye

This is too difficult. There's such a wide variety of awful shit on every platform that even limiting such a question to one console wouldn't make the question much easier. If we're going back to the NES, I guess that means CD-i titles are in? I don't think there were even any GOOD games on that platform. Made for good YouTube poop, though.

There where a few, like the 7th Guest,Myst or the Inca series, but they where all PC ports, so nothing exclusive.

But gems like these where a very rare find on the CDi, I give you that.

Quest 64 for sure.

Yeah, that one was a big letdown. It's perfectly mediocre, though - highly playable (just not anything brilliant... at all).
