Do you think that the Wii U will be worth a chunk of change in about 20 years time? If you take a look at the Sega Saturn, a console that has sold around the same amount of console as the Wii U and came out twenty years ago, on E-bay you'll be looking to shell out $50-$70 for a conosle that comes with a controler and the cables required for it to work. That's a good amount of money for a console that came out 20 years ago, in my opinion, and don't even mention some of the rare games for it (Panzer Dragoon series, Dragon Force), they are worth some money too. So I got thinking, and thought about if maybe the Wii U will be worth some money in 20 years just because of how little consoles were sold.

Of course there is the probability that nobody is gonna want a Wii U in 20 years which will keep the value low , but there is a possibility that it could be worth a decent amount of money in the years to come.

So what do you think? Yes or no?

I'd say a good handful of titles.

Pikmin 3 is currently out of print, so that game will probably go for a lot by then.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Yes for me. Pikmin 3, Wonderful 101, and Bayonetta 2 could skyrocket in a couple of years.

This is why you never buy digital, folks

Some games surely will, but the console maybe if there's no emulator or VC/BC.

Ninendo stuff always goes up in price thats why i dont like collecting on their older platforms even if it has a lot of multiplats like on the gamecube, they have a certain demographics which are into retro games or collectors. Many physical vita games maybe go up in price as well tough.

No. In this digital age, old games mean less and less. There's still a demand for physical copies of older games, but eventually we're going to get to a point where we can buy just about anything from any system digitally for pretty cheap. People will be able to buy Wii U games on the Nintendo Ultra or whatever for very little and no one will care much about the physical versions. The system itself will be worthless.

I know, buying old games on Nintendo systems is really irritating. I hate spending $20-$40 on a game that came out over a decade ago. I'm ususally spending $30 on a Nintendo game that came out on the Gamecube and N64 and I think it's too much for a 10-15 year old game.

Also I can defenitly see Vita games rising in price in a few years, 'specially some of the niche RPGs.

I can definitely see some Wii U titles going up in price

For sure. Some titles are already going up in price and the generation isn't even over yet.
