I hate it when they stick a Bomberman game with fluff to legitimize the jacked up price of admission. Bomberman Live has 8 player online and costs $10. Sweet deal. It gives you the core of the Bomberman experience and the only thing that has made the series great. This would be why Bomberman 93 and Saturn Bomberman are considered legendary while Bomberman 64 is considered a waste of a good cartridge and Bomberman Act Zero is the equivalent of going to church and washing your ass with the holy water. If this game is not a $20 title it's a ripoff. Not because Bomberman isn't worth more than $20, but because Bomberman Live is awesome, complete, and costs $10.

In defend of Bomberman64...

Just look at how big Bomberman's head is, you can't expect him to jump. Besides, I felt that having to jump off your bombs added a nice puzzle element to the game. I also loved the ability to throw bombs up over obstacles and kick them along the ground. Damn... I must have played the multiplayer for that so many times.

Still, I hope this game doesn't go all Bomberman Act Zero on us. Just looking at that game made me want to cry. E3 this year should be interesting, especially since Nintendo hasn't told us what it's got up its sleeve for Christmas...
