Forums - PC - partial computer upgrade help

My desktop comp is made up of a Gigabyte G1 sniper M3 MOBO - i5 3570 K CPU  - GTX 680 GPU - 8 GIG Trident X memory - Corsair AX750 PSU. plus two 1tb internal drives and a 1tb external  drive.

I have had this for around 3 years and feel a refresh rather than a complete rebuild is in order ,what do you think ?, if you agree with a refresh what are the parts to look at changing and what replacement parts do you reccomend.

That is still quite good CPU, so maybe just more RAM and better GPU.

Pretty good PC you have there. All I see is a GPU upgrade and SSD.

Looking at those specs I would recommend waiting for the successor of the GTX 980 to be released. At that stage you can do a more substantial upgrade and can save up in the meantime. If you really want to upgrade now then obviously up the ram and change the video card.

Any idea on what size and model SSD or hybrid i should get and as to a GPU upgrade what do you think of the new amd offering or should I stick with nvidia.

256 MB SSDs are the best value now staring at $80.

As for GPU that depends on how much you trying to spend. Are you going for mid range or high end? I like the $300 range of gpus as I belive thats where you get the most value. For single monitor 1080P gaming:
