"Next year is a godsend"

I fail to see what makes 2016 so special compared to 2015. I guess God's miracles aren't rare anymore these days.

And i fail to see why 2015 is special compared to other years, but you don't see me or anyone else posting games released in those years.
Know why?, because OPs talking about next year.

How people can NOT be interested in Uncharted 4 is beyond me.

Hard to say whether I am looking forward to Quantum Break or Gears 4 more.

Yeah, because he thinks 2016 is better than 2015 or he wouldn't have made this thread.

But I'm really not in the mood for a discussion based on semantics or matters of interpretation. Sometimes what is really important is what wasn't said, not what is said. :)

Because Uncharted 4 can't compete with the PG-13 Bukakke Simulator.

Nintendo is selling their IPs to Microsoft and this is true because:

Are you one of those people who don't understand preferences?

My argument flew right over your head.

I'm disagreeing with him that 2016 is THE year for TPS.

Well 2016 has Uncharted and Gears which are the biggest and best TPS's according to the people who play them, plus there's Quantum Break and the Division which both look great. And i wouldn't call Battlefront a TPS, i think it'll play a lot better in first person.

BF is much more of a TPS than Uncharted lol. How many people play Uncharted online? Most people play Uncharted for the over the top action sequences and story. Purely as a TPS Uncharted is unremarkable. Proven by the fact that the online isn't very populated.

BF III will sell more than Uncharted and Gears.

Sales aren't always indicative of quality anyway. Being the best is subjective. Splatoon is a new IP that released this year, so many people haven't even played it yet.

I don't agree with any of that. I don't see how the multiplayer of Uncharted and how many people continued or not playing that multiplayer is any indicative of how good a third person shooter it is. You can't judge the single player gameplay because of it's online component.

Both sales and continued online activity could be both seen as endorsements by gamers. I too believe though that sales are not necessarily any indicative of quality.

Going back to Uncharted and the "Uncharted and no huge continued online activity thing" you wrote, are you somehow arguing that Uncharted doesn't have remarkable gameplay because you think that people played it and got tired of it and that this somehow makes it a "proven fact" that Uncharted is not a "remarkable" third person shooter? Then I guess you believe that after 100+ million consoles sold by Nintendo with the Wii, the lack of continued sales for the next Nintendo console, the WiiU, is a "proven fact" that Nintendo games are not remarkable games in their respective genres, because people saw, came, played and weren't back again this gen to buy the WiiU.

This isn't a thread about Vanquish... Dissappointed

Imagine if Naughty Dog wrote the story for Vanquish. Holy hell.
