Forums - Nintendo - Could next E3 be the greatest Nintendo E3 of all time?

No, if they announce a new console , it will be the confirmation they dont care about WiiU since a long time like we thought, especially if they announced Zelda no more as an exclusive but now a cross gen game

It cant be a good E3 if they announced NX, it can only be good if they show WiiU is not dead yet and has big games coming... So it will surely be bad

But remember the Wii? In it's second to last year was the worldwide release of Skyward Sword, Pandora's Tower, The Last Story, Mario Sports Mix, Conduit 2, and Rune Factory. Just saying that just because it could be the second to last year for Wii U doesn't mean it can't have some great titles coming.

We already know 2. Shin Megami Tensei X Fire Emblem, and Legend Of Zelda Wii U.

Well last year was very good and certainly can't be worse than this year.

You had to say it, don't you? Now you've just jinxed us all.

Thanks.

It is supposed to sound positive. :)

Tell me next year

It could be, but it could also very well be the worst.

Although if we get a proper E3 Zelda trailer next year that would instantly make it better than this year's even if the only other games we get are Wii Music U,

And there should be a playable demo on floor. That's going to be amazing for the people who are there.

I was thinking yesterday about what could possibly be shown at next years E3. I know they will be talking about the NX, but it seems like they would be doing that on stage (maybe during the time they normally do their Treehouse). But with Ninendo usually having 3 days at their disposal for E3, they could still have a normal press conference to show off the NX, but also have a digital event.

Then I got to thinking about what could be shown in the digital event, and it hit me. We are going to have an absolutely massive Legend of Zelda event next year. We will have a new trailer for the upcoming release of Zelda U, We will have a tech demo for LoZ for the NX, possibly a Zelda Dungeon Maker, as well as we may see a new cartoon series or movie by Universal Studios (these last thing seems a little unorthadox, but if they completely center the direct on LoZ it is still possible).

So the movie or tv series is pure speculation on my part, but the trailer for Zelda U, and the tech demo of Zelda NX are more than likely sure to be there. Remembering the 2011 E3 conference brings back a lot of excitement, and this could be even better as an event being I only think they showed stills of LoZ Wii U tech demo in the conference, you had to be there to see the demo in action.

And, being this is the case, I am saving money as of right now to go to E3 next year. It could very well be the greatest E3 ever.

Edit, they could also show off the pilot to their Legend of Zelda Amazon series

It is possible that all the games that were in development and could have been shown in this E3 are pushed to next year. But that is only speculation. What would be great is if they created zelda and metroid maker, as that may revive the wii u long enough to ride alongside the NX until next gen hits (assuming that is their plan)

saying that Star Fox was coming and not showing anything of it wasn't really all that exciting.

And this is where I stopped reading your post.

Surely you can't be the biggest Star Fox fan, I guess. To have that game announced after 8 years with no nothing about the franchise, and know that the game is being directed by Miyamoto himself - the one who made the only good games in the franchise, the most recent one being 17 years old -, was beyond exciting. Even with no gameplay footage or even a fake CGI trailer of sorts, it was extremely hype for anyone who likes the series.

Guess not. Though I am excited to play it.

It could be for sure...
Unless Zelda HD gets a world scaled back, graphics are not as good as promised (E3 2014 teaser) and NX dissapoints.

After delaying it a year, they damn well better not scale anything back without damn good reason.

I hope so, but this is Aonuma, the guy that believes is cool to dress Link like Zelda.

Proud to be the first cool Nintendo fan ever

Number ONE Zelda fan in the Universe

DKCTF didn't move consoles

Prediction: No Zelda HD for Wii U, quietly moved to the succesor

Predictions for Nintendo NX and Mobile

E3 just ended, and you're already asking this?

Anyways, it COULD be the best, but it probably won't.

"Just for comparison Uncharted 4 was 20x bigger than Splatoon 2. This shows the huge difference between Sony's first-party games and Nintendo's first-party games."

Nope. And weren't people saying this year's E3 will be the greatest ever?

Yes, but they were hoping for something that just wasn't going to come (Zelda Wii U trailer), next year we will not only have the next look at LoZ, but also the tech demo for the NX.
