You heard me right. Prime games never sold that well to begging with. Yes they are loved by the hardcore including myself but federation force is a whole lot more appealing to the casual crowd. And even if prime 4 surprises us all (or whatever it will be called) federation force I predict will make more money for Nintendo. They spend so much making highly advance games only to not sell well while the cheap casual games sell a lot more.

i doubt it, maybe because of the install base of 3DS, but its better to keep a game series integrity rather then just wanting to go after sales

I don't think Metroid fans are going to rush to buy it.

I personally do not believe this will end up selling well; Dead on arrival at that for me. Much of the community has already given federation force a pass. Adding the name "Metroid Prime" to it will sell units, but for those that have and will watch future advertisements of the game may not like what they see.

If YouTube commenters hear you, yo'd be hunted until Prime 4 releases. Maybe we could say you'd be pursued by "Prime hunters"? XD.

Also, no. Federation Force will sell better than expected, but it won't break the 1m mark, something that Prime 4 will easily do, granted the system it's on surpasses WiiU's numbers.

Metroid Prime Federation Force is on Nintendo 3DS. So the installed base is much higher to begin with.

The only downside of FF is that it is multiplayer only. This is a potential deal breaker sales wise as Nintendo couldn't include an Single Player option as in Tri Force Heroes.

Anyway: its a good time to be a Nintendo fan and Wii U / 3DS owner.

I would go so far and say its never been better with games like Splatoon etc.

for 3ds multiplayer do you either have to have another person present w a 2nd 3ds or find a partner online to play multi player?

Then when you save your game do both players save the game, then continue playing later with a different person (if online and/or if the other local person is not available to continue)? 

What casual audience on the 3DS is going to flock to federation force? 

I can see Metroid 4 selling 2m-3m on NX, so I say no.

Not so sure about that.. most of the Metroid fanbase aren't impressed by this game so this game isn't a day 1 buy for them.
