Hey i'm just wondering if you guys have any tips on how to get a really high score in the home run contest.

I use two yoshis. First, I grab the bat with one yoshi, then using both yoshis I lightly tap the jump button, then I press the DOWN A move slightly. This should result in yoshi hitting the bag many times with his feet. In 1-2 secs I can get 47 percent damage per yoshi.

Repeat this over and over with two yoshis at once and you can get the bag to about 268 percent before hitting it with the bat. This results in over 3,000 feet.

BTW, did anyone else see the vault data video that was sent by Nintendo which showed two Pits going crazy and getting over 3,400 feet?

Here is a video of Ganondorf and Yoshi getting over 4000 meters (over 12,000 feet)!!!

I did it with Bowser pretty easily. Smack the crap out of it. lands back at my feet. fire breath it for as long as i can. them smack the crap out of it with fire breath. I think i got it past 70% damage

70% is probably just 1100+ meters. 100% is approximately 1300%+. 120% is 2000~2400 meters (depending on the character you're using), etc. I know, I've been doing Home-Run contests all night. :)

^ i got the "break the 1500 meter mark" for him. I did it on my friends Wii so I can't check it. I broke that one and the 1,200 at the same time. (and I did it with one character not two)

Hehe, I know Donkey Kong sucks at Home-Run contests... I didn't get it past 1000 meters yet! Need help! xD

Yea I watched the sampled vids thats nuts I haven't spent much time on home run contest yet gonna try the co-cop one soon. ^^^ There a glass thing around the sandbag now throw the bat at sandbag do combos then swing .

 Tried that before. Best I got was 989 meters... I just don't know if it's better to just charge B or throw the bat at the Sandbag! I remember the best I got in Melee was over 1200 meters or something...! @_@

my best is a bit over 1700

so what are all challenges for the home run contest in this game?

- Just make over 3,000 feet in one attempt.
- Use all characters in Home run contest.
